Honey
Honey is used as an antibacterial drug (antibiotic) for a very long time,
before synthetic antibiotics were developed in cultures around the world for
treating various ailments. Today it is scientifically proven that this sweet
medicine has antibacterial properties, can effectively cure skin rashes, treats
burns and scratches and cleans the teeth and mouth from bacteria. Honey is
also effective for treating ulcers and blisters.
2. Clove
Even today, dentists use clove oil as oral antiseptic and for disinfecting the
root canal (very well known smell which can be felt in every dental office).
Eugenol, which is consisted in cloves, is considered as the primary
antimicrobial compound. Many scientists around the world have documented
material to prove this statement.
If you want to get rid of tooth ache, chew a clove for couple of minutes. The
pain will be completely gone within two hours.
3. Garlic
It has proven that garlic can cure and help in treating many diseases. One of
garlics ingredients is called allicin compound which has antibacterial and
anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic itself has a defense mechanism against
harmful attacks. Scientists have shown that allicin destroys many bacteria,
including the most dangerous ones which are often resistant to standard
antibiotics. Garlic can effectively cure toothache (chopped a clove of garlic
and place it onto the ill tooth), cough, sore throat, as well as many other
diseases or infections.
4. Sage
Sage is especially good for treating cervical infections, respiratory tract and
mouth infections. It is also excellent for treating gut infections and intestinal
problems. Sage can help in reducing increased body temperature and fever.
It can also reduce pains which occur in the early phases of cold and flu.It has
been scientifically proven that sage has moderate but extensive antibacterial
and antiviral properties and now it is regularly used in production of many
modern medicines.
5. Cinnamon
In a study, conducted by a group of surgeons, it was found that cinnamon
can kill most bacteria found in hospitals, while another study showed that
cinnamon can kill bacteria that are resistant to standard antibiotics. In third
study it was found that cinnamon is Escherichia Colis mortal enemy.

The Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Otto H. Warburg, had devoted his life to the study
of and cause of cancer.
Dr. Warburg was one of the 20th centuries leading biologists, and he
discovered that the root cause of cancer is too much acidity in the body,
meaning that the pH in the body is below the normal level of 7.365, which
constitutes an acidic state. Warburg investigated the metabolism of
tumours and the respiration of cells and discovered that cancer cells
maintain and thrive in a lower pH, as low as 6.0, due to lactic acid production
and elevated CO2. He firmly believed that there was a direct relationship
between pH and oxygen. Higher pH, which is Alkaline, means higher

concentration of oxygen molecules, while lower pH, which is acidic, means

lower concentrations of oxygenthe same oxygen that is needed to maintain
healthy cells.
In 1931 Dr. Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for this
important discovery. He stated, Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas
healthy tissues are alkaline. Water splits into H+ and OH- ions, if there is and
excess of H+, it is acidic; if there is an excess of OH- ions, then it is alkaline.
In his work The Metabolism of Tumours Warburg demonstrated that all
forms of cancer are characterized by two basic conditions: acidosis and
hypoxia (lack of oxygen). Lack of oxygen and acidosis are two sides of the
same coin: where you have one, you have the other. All normal cells have
an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without
oxygen a rule without exception. Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48
hours and it may become cancerous.
Dr. Warburg has made it clear that the root cause of cancer is oxygen
deficiency, which creates an acidic state in the human body. Dr. Warburg also
discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and
cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen, as found in an
alkaline state.

The ENERGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION DISASTER RESPONSE UNIT is

invited to showcase its Rescue Capabilities together with the high-grade
equipages.
The EDC DPRU operatives are EMTs with Rope Rescue, CSER, USAR,
landslide, floodwater and detection capabilities. Each operator is ACLS, ITLS,
MOET, CLS trained and are also undergoing MMA training being decked to
provide medc support-security to VIPs.
Other than the Advanced Life Support items in the arsenal (i.e. Defibrillators,
pacers, VS Monitors, advanced airway kit, Burn kits, Combat kits, ATV 4000,
Emergency drugs, OB kit, Trauma kit, etc) and lots of CSER equipment shown
here (SCBAs, Thermal imagers, Tripods, pulley systems, SKEDCO. etc), the
unit has also LIFE LOCATOR, RESCUE QUADCOPTER, LONG RANGE ACOUSTIC
DEVICE (LRAD) and other robotics. As for the Rescue Copter, one unit is
backpack-borne and the bigger one which can carry 10kg payload is vehicle
borne.
The photos here are taken during the DND Anniversary in Camp Aguinaldo of
which EDC DPRU is invited to showcase capabilites in Rescue Opns. The unit
used here is the training unit. The actual unit is sturdier and has 2-hour flying
time with silencer and stabilizers.
Other than the LIFE LOCATOR, LRAD, and HazMat items, the EDC DPRU is
gearing into a multi-role RRT/RAT configuration catering to Advanced Life
Support provision in the hostile front, advanced technical rescue opns, EWS,
and Rapid Detection using the items mentioned above.
The EDC DPRU, through the INAEC, has 2 fixed wings (King Air, 1 Eurocopter,
4 hugh helo which could be deployed during crucial times (like Yolanda

deployment).
EDC DPRU is working in tandem with OML Center for climate Change
Adaptation and the existing EDC Hazard detection system.
We are providing support to the government through trainings, deployments
during disaster, Logistical assistance (lending GenSets to hospitals during
disasters) and infra support (e.g building schools and hospitals) though the
CSR teams.
