In the 19 century, scientists had conducted a series of experiments to show

the speed of light. It was Hippolyte Fizeau, a physicist from france, who
initiated such an experiment and found it to be 315 000 km/s. Later, in 1862
the experiment conducted by Hippolyte Fizeau was improved by another
French physicist named Leon Foucult and he found that the speed of light
was 298 000 km/s.
On 1865, a scottisth engineer named James Maxwell study the
electromagnetic wave. He figured that the electromagnetic wave is travelling
at 299 000 km/s as this has indicates that light itself was a composition of
electromagnetic waves. However, the theory made by Maxwell was not
proved until it was in the1886 where a german physicist named Heinry Hertz
came out with his experiment about the existency of electromagnetics wave
as proposed by Maxwell.
Hertz had setup an experiment in his laboratory to create a radio waves and
detect their presence. How do Hertz confirmed that the radio waves was a
form an electromagntic wave? To prove this, he was conducted another
experiment to measure the speed of radio waves he produced. This can be
done by producing the two radio waves and when they meet the interference
will occur. He found that the radio waves was travelling exactly at the same
speed as light.
This has provides us with a useful information that the light is not the only
form of electromagnetic radiation that ever existed and therefore proof the
maxwell theory.
The existency of electromagnetic wave as a part of light constitution has yet
being proved by the property of this wave that can they can also be reflected,
diffracted or refracted just as the light. Finally with no doubt, all these series of
excellent experiment designed by Hertz has confirmed the theory that made
by maxwell about EM wave a long time ago.
The experiment setup made by Hertz is now called as LC Oscillator and has
been widely used as an important circuit system in radio communication and
any other similar machine.
From this short story telling, it shows to us that the electromagnetism is real.
They are invisible, but yet can be detected and feel by us. Yet, it become
more thrilling when scientists discovered that the electromagnetism is one of
the 4 fundamental forces that exist in our nature.
Hah! This must be very interesting ! Yes it is! But not many of people really
can stay very tough to learn about it especially when it comes to mathematics
and physics. Dont be, the subject of electromagnetism is not very difficult
especially when we compare it to another subjects in physics that even more
tougher and thrilling. This, with no doubt for example a subject about
Quantum Mechanics, or Quantum Field Theory and etcetera.
