This document provides migration details for BPA update programs and discoverer report.

Pre-Migration Instructions
Cancelling Concurrent Requests
Following requests/request sets needs to be cancelled if scheduled.
1. Synaptics BPA Update Request Set

Migration Instructions
Installation Steps- Database
1) Connect to oracle DB as sqlplus apps user
2) Compile below objects in sequence:
a. Schema: APPS, Object Name: XXSY_BPA_MASS_UPDATE_RPT_DIS_V, Object
Type: View
b. Schema: APPS, Object Name: XXSY_BPA_UPDATE, Object Type: Package
Spec
c. Schema: APPS, Object Name: XXSY_BPA_UPDATE, Object Type: Package
Body
3) Exit from sqlplus.

Installation Steps- AOL

1) Synaptics BPA Retroactive Date Update Program
Step1: Defining Concurrent Executables
Login as Application Developer and go to Concurrent > Executable. Enter the following
details.

Step2: Defining Concurrent Programs

Login as Application Developer and go to Concurrent > Program. Enter the following
details.

Step 3: Define Incompatibility

Query the concurrent program again and click Incompatibility and enter the following
details.

Step 4: Assign Request to Request Group.

Login as System Administrator and go to Security: Responsibility > Request. Enter the
following details.

Post-Migration Instructions
Cut Over Data Cleanup

Data Setups

Discoverer Report Changes

Login to Discoverer Administrator and go to SYNA ORDER MANAGEMENT>XXSY BPA Mass
Update Report> Right Click> Refresh.

Login to Discoverer Desktop and Open BPA Mass Update Report. Go to Sheet> Edit Sheet.
Move the new column Supplier Name to the last.

Create the below calculation field as below.

Disable the first condition as below.

Create new condition as below.

Removing Hold on Concurrent Requests

Remove the hold on below request set:
1. Synaptics BPA Update Request Set

Scheduling Concurrent Requests

1) Synaptics BPA Retroactive Date Update Program

Navigate to HK USD Purchasing Super User>Requests> Submit a New Request>

Single Request

Select request Synaptics BPA Retroactive Date Update.

Click Schedule and schedule the request as required

Click submit.
