DO YOU KNOW THAT STUDYING ONLY 60% TOPICS CAN GIVE YOU 85% MARKS IN JEE MAINS WHICH
CAN GIVE YOU
ADMISSION IN ANY.
BEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE
The following analysis has been done from the previous 10 year papers, trend, topic distribution, marks
distribution & marks required to get good rank by team feverIIT

NOW LETS LOOK AT IT FOR JEE 2015

Physics Chemistry

Maths

Must do
Current electricity, heat & thermo, electrostatics, magnetic effect of current, work
energy power, SHM & waves, modern physics, center of mass & impulse Chemical kinetics, chemical
bonding, gernal organic chemistry, S P D & F block elements, chemical equilibrium, ionic equilibrium,
redox reaction & coordination compounds.
Vectors, probability, 3D , matrices determinants,
integration, P& C, complex number, quadratic equations, set relation functions & limits.
Should do
Laws of motion, rotational motion, EMI, AC & EM waves, fluids, optics, unit dimension &
errors. Carbo-oxalic acids & its derivatives, alcohol phenol ether, thermodynamics, Amines & N
containg compounds, biomolecules, periodic classification, atomic structure, gaseous state & polymers
Differentiability & continuity, differential equations, straight line, circles, parabola, binomial
theorem, sequence & series, trigonometric ratio & identities, statics & dynamics.
Can leave
Heating & chemical effect of current, capacitance, elasticity, principle of
communication, circular motion, gravitation, kinematics &kinetic theory of gasses.
Aldehyde

environmental chemistry & electrochemistry. Ellipse, hyperbola, trigonometric functions, inverse
trigonometric function, mathematical induction, application of derivatives, properties of triangle, area,
exponential & lograthematic series heights & distances.

You can take test of each topic separately on feverIIT online testing platform which is same as JEE
platform and where you will also get 20 mock tests* & previous year exam papers with a question bank
of more than 2000 questions.
Now I would simply make the things in binary mode what to do and what not in the entire preparation
and finally tell you what to do in the last lap.

Dos

Study regularly 5 to 6 hrs per day irrespective of any thing.

Clear your doubts on a regular basis.
Do your school homework in the extra time in school itself.
Refer NCERT and minimum but relevant study material.
Prefer solving questions on paper and pen instead of lying on a bed and reading questions.
Choose a coach which is near to your place to reduce stress and travelling time.

Check the syllabus from IIT website and study only relevant things.
Divide the entire course into parts and complete that part in a fixed span of time.
Complete your entire syllabus at least six months before the board exams so that you have ample time
to revise and handle boards easily too.
Give regular test and check your speed and accuracy.
Do detailed test analysis after each such test.
Know your strength and weakness in subjects and topic in each subject.
Donts

Never pile up your doubts.

Do not refer to many books in a single subject.
Do not study irrelevant things by getting fascinated from your peer group.
Do not devote too much time say two months for a single topic.
Never give test without a time limit.
Do not watch too much of TV or internet.
Do not give up in your school test or exams.
Now remember these points for entire period and see what to do when less time is left for the exam.

One month to JEE

The time is too less now students are advised to look back upon the common mistakes they have made
throughout their preparation and try to figure out their weakness in terms of subject or topic which will
help them to make their test taking strategy while writing their JEE. Also if their human errors like
calculations remembering values etc which could be removed then students can practice on the same.
The IIT JEE is likely to be stressful. The students will take two 3-hour papers one after the other. To
prepare for such situation, students must create exam like conditions and take a few mock exams and

make sure that they follow the same time. Students are also advised to go through past years questions
just to tell themselves that the papers in the past have not been that difficult

Students are advised against trying to solve a whole lot of problems at this stage. They must also avoid
doing complicated problems. Relaxing, having good sleep, eating healthy, etc. are also very important.
Students are also advised to estimate the time taken by them to solve the questions so that they could
know that how many questions can be easily solved by them during the one hour duration of the subject
or three hrs duration of the exam which will again help them in deciding their test taking strategy. Also
they could improve upon the question selection and prioritization for the same. Again solving mocks
would be the most efficient tool.

One week to JEE

Now the time left is too less students by this time have studied everything revised taken mocks done
their strength and weakness analysis topic wise as well as subject wise. Students now in any case not
even dream of studying anything new. They should now start focusing on revision of important formula
steps assumptions etc. They should also focus on deciding their test taking strategy for the JEE. Students
now know that which areas they are weak and in which area they are strong subject wise so they should
make a mind set of deciding which subject to start with and also make an estimate how many questions
should be right or they should attempt to get the rank which they are thinking off based on previous
year analysis available on IIT websites etc. They should eat healthy can be anti oxidants etc, have
appropriate sleep and could also practice some meditation etc
DISCLAIMER ; feverIIT does not claim on the topics are guaranteed to be divided as per the above table.
Although the analysis is done by the team of experts who have average teaching experience of more
than 12 years and teaching rank 1 in IITJEE & AIEEE but the students are advised to study as much as
possible.
