Last 2012, the WMSU League of Debaters have marked its highest accomplishment for
debate and public speaking for our university when Mr. Arnold Bucoy (CLAW) and Mr. Wilson
L. Lambiquit (CLA) landed as semi-finalists at the open-break and eventually became
champions of the Union Cup with Mr. Bucoy as the finals best speaker in the 14th National
Debate Championship going up against power house schools like UP Diliman, Ateneo de
Manila, FEU, etc.
Two years have passed and now the very same team together with ____ will once again
join the 16th National Debate Championship aiming to top their accomplishment during their last
NDC participation and eventually reaching the Grand Finals and bagging the title as National
Champions. The 16th National Debate Championship will be hosted by University of San Carlos
and UP-Cebu, Cebu City on October 24-29, 2014.
In line with this, we would like to ask for financial assistance coming from you and your
good office for the participants will have to prepare 5,650 php for the registration and 2,000php
for their fare. Attached here with are the credentials of Mr. Bucoy and Mr. Lambiquit.
We firmly believe in your advocacy for the voice of the youth to be heard, and as youth
of Zamboanga, the participants would best represent those voices for the rest of the country to
hear.
