Describe a person you wanted to follow and be like him/her when you grow up:
I E L T S SPEAKING ASKED on 25th Oct, North India.
During my elementary school, I was greatly influenced by my science teacher.
At that time, I wanted to be like her when I grow up. She taught me from my 2nd till 5th grade. I wanted to be like her
for many reasons.
She was a good role model; all the students had great respect for this teacher as she was very hard working and
understanding so I wanted to be like her.
At that time, science used to be my favorite subject and I thought my teacher knew so much. She had answers all
our questions. Students would always turn to her for advice. She was always very kind and had great sense of
humor; so we all loved her very much; but, I would always wonder how does she know answers to all our questions
and that's why I admired her.
This teacher was a powerful speaker. When she spoke everybody paid attention. She spoke with a lot of authority.I
think, no other teacher spoke like her.
She would take part in organizing all the extra-curricular activities in the school, so most of the time she would be on
the stage. I wanted to speak like her, when I grow up. I noticed her carefully she would speak so gently and would
smile all the time.
I also liked the way she dressed up. The kind of clothes she wore as well as the choice of her color was quite
different than the others. It suited her personality so much, I always asked my mother to buy me the same kind of
clothes that my teacher wore,in fact , I even bought couple of dresses matching the same color like my teacher.
She was mother of two school going children and I observed her to be a very good mother. She would talk very
politely with her children and let them do whatever they wanted. Her children always stood first in their classes.
Overall, I found my science teacher to be very simple yet extraordinary; excelling in all fields. Thats why I had great
admiration for her and I always wanted to follow and be like her.

Describe someone you know who has an interesting or unusual job.
- What that person is like
- What that persons job
- What you think is interesting or unusual about that persons job
Asked on Oct 11th Chandigarh India.
====================================================
When I think of a person whose job I find most interesting. My thought goes to one of my friend who studied with me
in the same school but;now works as a photo journalist.
His name is Vipul. He has always been interested in photography right from his school days. I remember, even then
he participated in many photography competitions later, he took up three years course to become a professional
photo journalist.
At present he works for a very reputed national news paper. I find his job to be very interesting for many reasons.
Firstly, he gets to travel around everywhere for free not only nationally; thrice he has got a chance to visit
international destinations. What I find interesting about it is that he does not have to spend even a single penny for
these visits, the newspaper takes care of all his expenses so, he gets to see all these places as a part of his job.
Although, right now Vipul is only 22 years old yet he gets a very handsome salary. He makes much more money
than many other people I know who have been working for a longer time than Vipul. So, he is able spend all this
money the way he wants, for instance, few months back he bought a car to gift it to his father; as a result; I find that
his parents are also very proud of him.
What I like most in his job is that he gets a lot of freedom as he does not have to report to any immediate boss on
the day to day basis moreover, his job timings are also very flexible. Since he has the passion for photography, he
loves his job very much and enjoys doing it independently. He has only been showered with praises for clicking
some extraordinary pictures for the newspaper.
Another interesting aspect of his job is that he gets to meet some important dignitaries and celebrities. I can never
forget how he managed to get free passes to watch the last world cup live when others were struggling to even buy
tickets for the final match.
I think he is quite satisfied how his career is taking shape. So, In my friend circle, I cant think of any one else whos
got more interesting job than Vipul.

dynamic leadership. He has done so much for our village. For instance, the small primary school with one teacher is
now a full fledge high school. So I can say, he has brought education at our doorstep. Now, students from our
village dont have to go to far away places for their studies.
He is also the man behind setting up of a big dairy in my village which has created job resources for people and
increased their living standard. Then, our village today boasts of good roads health facilities, and a park. All the
credit for all these facilities goes to this man.
I personally like him because he leads a very simple life and sets the right example for others. Although he does not
have his children of his own yet he pays the fee of many poor children of my village. He is an illiterate person but he
actively takes part and promotes education camps for the adults in our village.
It is his wish that everybody in our village should be able to read and write.
One more quality that needs a mention here is that although he is in his seventies yet; he is very active and healthy,
he proudly says that he has always maintained a very healthy lifestyle. Every morning I see him taking a round of
the entire village and talking to people. Now he has a goal to set up a sports complex in the village to provide sports
facilities to the youngsters. He is finding ways and means to this sports complex in our village. Overall, I can just say
that we are blessed with his presence. I pray to God to grant him healthy life and wisdom to keep leading our village
in the right way.
IELTS SPEAKING:- EXERCISE YOU LIKE DOING (Asked on September 20th Chandigarh)
========================
Although I have a busy life style yet I find some time everyday to do little-bit exercise. I think its important to exercise
every-day.
The exercise I like doing is mainly brisk walking, I first started doing it few years ago by walking briskly for 10
minutes, over the years it has become my habit and now I can continuously walk for 45 minutes or so.
I do this exercise in the park near my house; either early in the morning or late in the evening when I am more free
to do it.
At this time; there are other people in the park exercising too; It motivates me to walk for a little longer.
I like brisk walking for many reasons: Firstly, it does not require any kind of special equipment unlike other exercises
, sometimes I have seen many people spending a lot on special training equipments and kits whereas brisk walking
does not require any such things or a special trainer or training under the supervision of a gym instructors. So,
anyone and everyone can do this exercise easily.
Then, brisk waking has many benefits: This helps me to remain fit and active all through the day, walking stretches
our muscles thereby making our body more flexible. More oxygen flows in our brain which helps us to have a
stronger memory power.
Moreover, I am able to burn out my extra calories and keep the extra kilos in check. I have noticed, many people
spending a lot of money just to keep their weight in check. So , why not walk instead!
Even I read somewhere that people who walk regularly live longer than those who dont.
The day I skip this exercise it makes me feel lazy; so it has now become my habit, and I thoroughly enjoy it. So; this
is one thing, I am going to keep doing for the rest of my life.
As dictated by Vinay Chand in Way-Ahead IELTS class.

From that day onwards we never did it again.

Going by its history, the festival is celebrated in the memory of lord Rama, who returned to Ayodhya after spending
14 years in exile to keep his word. Moreover, on the same day Sikhs sixth guru freed 52 kings from Gwalior fort. So,
the entire nation celebrates it together.
As many Indians live in different parts of the world, now it is recognized in many countries as an official Indian
