Optimal Capacitor Placement in Radial distribution System for
maximum loss Reduction Using Fuzzy and Genetic Algorithm
The distribution losses are high because of lower voltage and hence
higher current. Reduction of I2R loss in distribution system is very
essential to improve the overall efficiency of power delivery. The
project consists of two stage methodology. The first stage determines a
sequence of nodes to determine the optimal capacitor locations using
Fuzzy Approach. In the second stage the sizes of the optimal
capacitors at these compensated nodes are determined by Genetic
Algorithm.

study of the static Excitation equipments in Srisailam Hydro Generating
Power Plant.
