Go see the Festival of Trees, please!

While the Elks Lodge was filled with Christmas trees

and the decorators were hustling and bustling to get
them decorated, one of them was complete and already
aglow and definitely one of a kind. Ken and Myrna
Kautz have hundreds upon hundreds of hours into this
Christmas tree (more details inside). The 10th Annual
Festival of Trees kicks off Friday, November 21st with
some fine dining while you are embraced by all the
beautiful Christmas trees. A Prime Rib Dinner and tree
auction will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25
and must be purchased in advance at BS Central, the

Elks Lodge or KLTZ/KLAN Studios. Proceeds go to the

Northeast Montana Relay for Life. Also happening this
weekend is the Christmas Stroll and the Valley County
Optimist Clubs Parade of lights. If all this Christmas
Spirit is getting you in the shopping mood but youre
wallet is light, make a dash for some Christmas Cash.
You can borrow up to $1,000 interest free from

Midnight showing!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I will be
shown at midnight tonight at Valley Cinemas as this
movie makes its debut in over 3,200 theaters followed
by a wide release on Friday in 4,151 theaters.

This is the first of two cinematic parts based on the
novel Mockingjay, the final book in The Hunger Games
trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins, and the third
installment in The Hunger Games film series. It landed
atop Fandangos list of most-anticipated films for 2014.
The film has received generally positive reviews.

Early analysts are projecting that Mockingjay Part
1 could earn around $130 $160 million and as high as
$170 million in its opening weekend at the box office.
Fandango and MovieTickets.com also reported that the
film had the highest advance ticket sales of 2014 and
accounted for 80% of the total ticket sales that went on
sale from October 29, three weeks prior to the films
wide release

The central figure (Katniss) in The Hunger Games,
the hit sci-fi series about an oppressed peoples struggle
against a totalitarian regime, is being evoked for real,
now, in Thailand among university students expressing
their opposition to that southeast Asian nations military
rulers.

Several students, from Bangkok to about 280 miles
away to the northeast, have been detained in recent days
after flashing the signature anti-establishment, threefingered salute fromThe Hunger Games.

Montanas Marriage Amendment, enacted by nearly
70% of Montana voters in a direct election, has just been
nullified by the courts.
Today 295,070 Montana I am heartbroken
voters had their votes nullified for the people of
by one judge exercising Montana who have
what amounts to a super- had the redefinition
vote. The decision by Judge of marriage forced
Brian Morris to allow same- on them by an outsex marriage in Montana of-control federal
strikes at the heart of two judiciary.
foundational institutions that
have made our state and nation truly exceptional: the
ballot initiative process that allows for self-governance
by the people, and the family. I am heartbroken for the
people of Montana who have had the redefinition of
marriage forced on them by an out-of-control federal
judiciary.
I am also grieved for the children of same-sex
couples who have no chance of growing up with a mom
and a dad. This fundamentally undermines the right
of the people to protect natural marriage as the sacred
union of a man and a woman.

While the U.S. Supreme Court may still take up the
issue of the redefinition of marriage, for now the courts
have settled the issue in our state. While we mourn the
direction of a misguided judiciary, were encouraged
by the fact that natural marriage was enshrined in 31
state Constitutions, and a recent Pew poll showed that
support for same-sex marriage has dropped by 5% in
the past 3 months. While the courts believe same-sex
marriage is a settled issue, its anything but settled in the
hearts and minds of the people.
While were disappointed in the decision, we will
not despair, we will not throw in the towel and we will
not give up. Laws may change, but the definition of
marriage as a union between a man and a woman is
timeless.
As Cicero once said, Time obliterates the fictions
of opinion and confirms the decisions of nature.
We will continue to uphold natural marriage
because its whats best for men, women, children and
our society as a whole.

Whoever winds up with this tree during the Festival of Trees

is truly appreciative of our Veterans! A lot of love has went

The tree is adorned with Kens open wood carvings while
Myrna crocheted picture frames for our local soldiers who
were killed in action. This tree has a special meaning to
us, says Ken. Take it from the Buzz, ts a must-see tree and
can be viewed this Friday and Saturday at the Glasgow Elks

Few people would argue

that around Williston the
traffic has gotten crazy
the past few years. What
most might not know, is
how crazy the traffic at the
Williston airport, Sloulin

According to a recent
article in the AOPA Pilot

per year. Enplanement is
defined as the number of
passengers boarding an
aircraft at an airport. This
does not include arriving or
through passengers.
Last year there were
96,000
emplanements,
which does not include
charter flights and general
aviation flights. Flights that
