Focus on process models that have well defined start and end points
You can question Process models to see if they are Good or not
Criteria: soundness
Safeness: Places cannot hold multiple tokens at the same time
Proper completion: If the sink place is marked, all the other places are empty (eg. If this is the
honeymoon, the wedding already took place)
Option to complete: It is always possible to reach the marking that marks the sink place
No dead parts: For any transition, there is a firing sequence enabling it
Checking for soundness can be very complicated
Important: A WFN is Sound if and only if the corresponding "short circuited" Petri Net is live and
bounded
Checking soundness is called "Verification analysis"

BPM = Business Process Management- The link between IT and the business
Really developed in the 1950
Explanation of the BPM life cycle
Model based analysis
Data based analysis
Role of processes
Look for the bottlenecks
Discuss responsibilities
Analyze compliance
There are many notations
