SNAP 2010 Analysis

The SNAP exam conducted on 19th Dec was of nearly same level as compared to the previous year.
The test had total time limit of 120 minutes. The positive marks per question were 1 marks and
negative marks 0.25. Each question had 4 options. The breakup of questions according to sectional
area is given below.

The RC passage was comparably difficult as compared to last year. The other questions on Fill in the
Blanks, Idioms, Synonyms/Antonyms and Grammar were easy. The minimum score got from this
section could be around 18.The time allocation could be 30 minutes.

The Arithmetic questions were very easy.1 question was a direct replica of the CAT question asked
3-4 years ago. The Number system questions were mainly on basic concepts and simplifications. The
Algebra section was mainly from basic equations. The Data sufficiency questions were mainly from
Arithmetic and should have been attempted. The minimum score got from this section could be
around 21.The time allocation could be 40 minutes.
GENERAL AWARENESS
The questions were majorly from Current GK and Business GK with vey less of Static GK.There were
around 18-19 questions from Current GK. The minimum score got from this section could be around
12.The difficulty level of this section was varying. The time allocation could be 15 minutes.
ANALYTICAL & LOGICAL REASONING

Most of the one liners were from Series. The Critical Reasoning questions were based on Binary
Logic and Statement and Conclusion type. Most of the questions were very easy. Out of 4 logical
caselets comprising of 2, 3, 3 and 2 questions, two sets were very easy and should have been
attempted. The table based questions were also easy. Overall the section was of easy to moderate
level. The minimum score got from this section could be around 18.The time allocation could be 35
minutes.
