A warm welcome from the ITM Kharghar family.
Congratulations on being selected for the ITM PGDM iConnect program 2014-16 batch at ITM Kharghar campus. The
inaugural session of the program is scheduled on 12th June 2014 at 9:00 AM at the main auditorium of the campus.
Attendance for this program is mandatory.
New students registration will take place from 9th June to 10th June 2014 (any one day) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on
campus. Students who are looking for the hostels are requested to contact Hostel Wardens, Mr. Pawan Kumar Singh
@ 7498790269 and Ms. Sunita Maheshwari @ 7498628218 to get all the details.
As per offer of admission letter given to you, the balance fees is to be paid on or before the due date as suggested by
the Admissions Department by demand draft in favor of Institute for Technology and Management and General
Technologies Payable at Navi Mumbai.
In case, we do not receive the complete first year fee before the stipulated date, the admission offered to you stands
cancelled and the below mentioned Joining Instructions shall not be applicable to you. Those who have already remitted
the first year fee may kindly ignore this.
We look forward to meeting you on 12th June, 2014 at the campus and once again extend a warm welcome on behalf
of the ITM family at ITM Kharghar campus.

How to reach the campus:


The campus is located in the township of Kharghar, just ahead of CBD Belapur on the Mumbai-Pune Road. The nearest suburban (local)
train station is Kharghar Station, which is on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai suburban train system.

Nearest long-distance train stations:

The ITM Hostel is located about 1 km away from the campus. During the academic session, campus bus service is available from Kharghar
Railway Station and from the Hostel. However, ITM strongly recommends that you take up ITM hostel facilities, as travel times in Mumbai
can be very long, and classes often end late in the evening.

Academic Calendar:
The PGDM iConnect 2014 - 16 is a 2-year duration course with semester pattern. The academic calendar includes academic terms,
iConnectcore internship term, concurrent NGO project and capstone project.

5.

Student Handbook:
You will be issued the ITM students handbook. This handbook contains detailed rules and regulations covering all aspects of your course
of study at ITM.

6. Fees Payment:

The first year fee is to be paid on or before stipulated date mentioned in the offer of admission letter given to you by demand draft. The DD
should be in favor of Institute for Technology and Management payable at Mumbai and send it to admissions office Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
7. Documents Required:

Please bring following original documents as well as one set attested photocopies by a gazette officer and self attested at the time of
reporting to campus.
Mark sheets and certificate: All mark sheets and certificates including STD X, XII & each year / term of graduate degree and provisional
degree certificate (passing certificate if the degree is not issued). Post graduate mark sheets and degree certificate in case it is completed.
Proof of work experience: If any
Entrance test scores: All management entrance exams given and where the scores have been sent to you. If scores are published on
the web an attested printout of the web page showing your result shall be permitted.
Photographs: 6 color passport size photographs (in formal attire)
Proof of identity: In the form of Voter Id, PAN Card, Drivers License, Aadhar Card or Passport
Undertaking: Student and parents undertaking in the prescribed formats
Joining instructions: Duly signed by parents / guardian
Offer letter and fee receipts: Original offer of admission letter and fee receipts issued by ITM
Medical record: If any and blood group certificate issued by pathology laboratory
Birth Certificate: In original
PAN Card: Your PAN card as well as that of your parent / guardians
Migration Certificate: Original in case of students graduating from out of Maharashtra State and Transfer Certificate from the college in
case of students from Universities within the State of Maharashtra.
Note: Your admission and registration is subject to all your above documents being in order, and full payment of fees.

Medical Fitness Certificate:


Please undergo complete medical checkup and submit the certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner at the time of
reporting to campus, indicating that you are free from any of the ailments that may interfere with your studies and academic performance.

Rules and Regulations:


1.

Conduct and Behavior:


Consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs is strictly prohibited on campus and in the Hostels.
ITM follows a Zero Tolerance Policy on Ragging, harassment, racism, religious or political activism we do not tolerate improper
conduct, offensive language, racist or derogatory statements or any conduct unbecoming a student.
All visitors to the campus are to be properly greeted, assisted and treated with utmost respect. Any student found indulging in the
above activity shall be promptly expelled from the institute.

2.

Rules concerning ragging:


ITM follows a Zero Tolerance Policy on ragging and related behavior, in accordance with the laws of India. Any incident of ragging
will result in immediate suspension of the student, followed by formal Police Complaint. Ragging in any form has been declared by the
Government of Karnataka, as a non-billable offence, and ITM shall prosecute any student suspected of ragging to the fullest extent of the
law.

3.

Dress code and grooming:


Normal Working Days: (Monday - Thursday)
For Boys: Business attire - trousers, full-sleeve shirt (tucked in), tie, leather shoes and socks. In addition to this do carry few sets of ethnic
wear for the special occasions.
For Girls: Business attire - western (Trousers, Formal Shirt and Closed Formal Shoes) as well as Indian Attire with minimal jewelry and
comfortable footwear. In addition to this do carry few saris for the special occasions.
One set of formal uniform: blazer, shirt, trousers and tie will be provided by ITM.
Grooming: At all times, students are expected to maintain a high standard of personal grooming.
No shorts or any unbecoming attire will be permitted.

4.

Safety and Security:


Students are solely responsible for the security and custody of their personal belongings and any material issued to them by ITM.
This includes textbooks, laptop computers, uniform, etc. ITM will not be responsible for any loss or theft of the same.
ITM strives to ensure a safe and secure campus environment for all students. Damaging and defacing Institute property is prohibited.
Unauthorized access to restricted areas of Institute property is strictly prohibited and ITM shall not be responsible for any injury
caused to students who do not follow these rules.
Students are expected to restrict themselves to the campus or PG accommodation premises during the session.
Personal vehicles are not allowed on campus. ITM discourages the use of personal vehicles due to the risk of accident.
Students are not allowed to go out on any private picnics or any outings except officially sponsored.

5.

Medi-Claim Insurance Policy:


Students of ITM are insured under Medi-Claim Insurance Policy of Rs.50,000/-. However, ITM shall not take responsibilities prolonged
illness. For more details & eligibility contact the Administration Department. The mediclaim insurance policy will be applicable from the day
a insurance card is issued to the student till that time institute is not responsible for the Medi-Claim.

6. Attendance holidays and leaves:


The students are expected to attend all the classes and courses, throughout the academic year, failing which the student will not be
permitted to attend the examinations of that term.
However students may apply to Director / Registrar for leave to meet medical exigencies. For the detailed class room attendance
regulation, please refer students hand book which will be issued to you after joining the campus.
Outstation travel during holidays is not permitted.
7.

Academic Performance:
Consistent academic performance is crucial to success in the PGDM program.
Examinations and assignments are conducted with the highest level of integrity and invigilation. Any student found engaging in
unfair practices, copying or plagiarism will be suspended.
ITM follows a strict policy on course failure. Not more than 2 course failures - after re - examinations are allowed in the first year, to
be eligible to continue the program in the second year.

8.

Placement Rules:
Students have to strictly comply with all the placement policies laid down by the Institution.

9.

General Hostel Instructions:


Playing of loud music, TV, radio is prohibited
Pet animals are prohibited in the hostel
Visitors are allowed to meet the students in the common meeting room with the permission of hostel warden
Card playing, gambling, betting games are strictly prohibited
No student is allowed to stay out of the hostel overnight
Students are advised to keep valuables in the lockers. ITM shall not be responsible for any loss / theft / damage to student property.
