How to be a successful PowerBatt distributor?

The following questions shall lead to a better understanding of how to achieve successful cooperation potential
between your company and PowerBatt on long-term basis. It shall also serve as a guide for pointing out the
direction of initial steps and business introduction in your market. Furthermore, we aim to use the guide as open
discussion material helping us to understand opportunities and identify possible challenges and their solution.
Distributor essential attributes
1. Professional, full-time committed PowerBatt technical team
- Do you have a technician with battery expertise (3+ years of experience) readily available? OR
- Can you find battery experts (3 + years experience) in your market within three months of contract
signing? OR
- Do you have a English/German speaking technician without battery experience and make him go
through PowerBatt training within one month of contract signing?
2.

Full-time committed PowerBatt sales team


- Do you have an experienced sales team (3+ sales staff) readily available for full-time commitment to
PowerBatt? OR
- Can you find an experienced sales person, for full-time commitment to PowerBatt and make him go
through training within one month of contract signing?

3.

Daily client acquisition activity and client retention


- Do you have experience with business dependent on daily acquisition activity? AND
- Have you previously directed business with 3+ sales staff operating with a similar sales strategy? AND
- Do you have a list of potential 100+ clients in the acquisition portfolio? AND
- Do you have experience with long-term retention of 100+ client portfolio?

Sufficient financial resources to cover for the initial period and necessary investment
- Can you allocate 50 000+ EUR directly to the PowerBatt project?

5.

Technical readiness for the initiation phase


- Do you meet technical requirement for step-by-step acquisition of initial customer portfolio? AND
- Do you have 10+ potential customers for pilot testing?

Distributor nice-to-have attributes


6. Product introduction experience
- Do you have experience with similar product introduction? AND
- Do you have experience with managing a similar sized customer portfolio +100 clients?
7.

Structured sales execution experience (mass sale to a selected large group of end-customers on repeat basis)
- Have you previously directed a business with a similar sales cycle to that of PowerBatt? AND
- Have you previously managed a network of sub-distributors/ branch offices?

8.

Harvest existing contacts within your network, go for the BIG CATCH
- Do you have contacts within prime customers (Still, Jungheinrich, Linde, Toyota etc.) AND
- Do you maintain frequent contact with these companies?

9.

Work within a network of sub-distributors and agents


- Do you have a list of potential cooperation for creating a sub-distribution network? AND
- Are these companies in battery servicing business? AND
- Do you have 4+ potential partners? AND
- Do you have experience with training and coaching of sub-distribution/ branch office partners?

10. Grow geographically, become nationwide


- Do you have competence to reach a nationwide distribution level in the future?
