For anyone seriously considering a

future in business, London should
be your first choice. Selecting a
London-based university means
choosing to study in the business
capital of Europe, enabling you
to take advantage of Londons
corporate and financial power,
and to forge strong professional
relationships that will benefit
you for a lifetime. It is no
coincidence that London is a
base for most global players
in finance, consulting, IT and
professional services.

Piccadilly Circus is famous for its vibrant

neon signs, bronze statue of Eros and electric
atmosphere. It is a bustling junction and
meeting place for visitors and tourists, as it is
close to major shopping and entertainment
areas in the West End.

Located next to Imperial College, Hyde Park is

one of nine Royal Parks in the capital. Spanning
350 acres, it has 4,000 trees, a beautiful boating
lake, cafes, horse riding and an art gallery. The
park hosts outdoor concerts by the biggest
names in rock music including Pink Floyd,
Queen and the Rolling Stones. Our students
enjoy relaxing in the park between lectures.

The Business School is based in a

main campus in South Kensington. The
building was designed by world-renowned

The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place

of the UKs parliament. This impressive building
is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Big Ben is the
nickname for the great bell of the clock at the
north end of the palace. The Elizabeth Tower, as its
now officially known, holds the largest fourfaced
chiming clock in the world and is one of the most
prominent symbols in the United Kingdom.

The Shard stands 306 metres high and

is currently the tallest building in Europe.
Theglass-clad pyramidal tower has a viewing
gallery and open air observation deck on the
72nd floor, which offers breath-taking views

The combination of fundamental

Katharina Neuhaus
msc economics & strategy
for Business 2014

In todays rapidly
changing environment,
graduates looking to
start a career whether
in management
consultancy, policy
analysis, financial
services or the corporate
sector need to combine
the rigour of analytical thinking with a strategic
focus. MSc Economics & Strategy for Business has
been developed to address this need.
The focus of the programme is interdisciplinary,
combining advanced courses in both economics
and strategy, and is taught by leading scholars in
those areas at the intersection of organisational
theory and technological innovation. You will
be exposed to a broad range of thinking, from
corporate governance and financial risk to
energy economics, strategy innovation and
implementation.
We focus on understanding theory and its
application to business. As a recent business
graduate, with experience of studying economics
and business, you will develop your analytical skills
and strategic thinking, learning how to apply this
toolkit to a wide variety of situations.
Throughout the programme, we emphasise the
development of problem-solving and decision
making skills within an organisational setting,
while our integrated professional development
programme aims to ensure you develop the
necessary soft skills for career success.
This unique combination provides a valuable
platform for you to consider and pursue a more
generalist path in business over the course of
your career.
