Trisomet SC Overview
Trisomet SC System
overview
Trisomet SC is part of the Colorcoat Renew SC System, an integrated solar
air heating solution that encompasses system design, renewable energy
generation and control, to provide space heating and ventilation air for any
type of building whether it's new build or retrofit, industrial, commercial,
public or residential.
Trisomet SC System
Key benefits
Colorcoat Renew SC featuring Trisomet SC, key
benefits
The heat produced from the Colorcoat Renew SC System has been
independently proven to provide up to 50% of daytime space
heating requirements.
All Tata Steel processes are subject to external audit against quality
management system ISO 9001:2008 and also environmental
management system ISO 14001:2004.
The Trisomet 333 panel provides a backing wall that can be installed
quickly and efficiently, cutting down the installation program and
due to its closed cell foam insulation, minimises disruption during
wet conditions.
The engineered joint of the Trisomet 333 panel together with its
rigid shallow planked liner face provide the ability to joint panels
consistently and provide exceptional air tightness at cladding
junctions, improving the overall efficiency of the building and the
Colorcoat Renew SC System.
Trisomet SC Performance
Air Distribution
The pre-heated fresh air within the cavity is drawn into the
building using the fan unit.
The warm air can be simply fed directly into the building as
ventilation air (e.g. industrial applications)
The option of ducting the pre-heated air in the HVAC system will
reduce the heating load and can provide efficiency
improvements of up 80 per cent.

Is your building
suitable?
Colorcoat Renew SC is ideally suited to
buildings where ventilated, fresh air is used
to deliver space heating but it can be fitted
to any building, new build or retro fit that
has a requirement for space heating during
the day.
Ideal orientation
Facing due South, East to West variation 20, 96% - 100% solar gain.
Facing South East to South West, variation 45, 80% - 100% solar gain.
Acceptable orientation
East facing through to West facing, variation 90, 60% solar gain.

Pre-engineered solutions
Engineered solutions
For projects demanding a more complex design and that do not fall
into the pre engineered solutions, an additional stage will need to be
added between Stage 1 and Stage 2. This will comprise of Tata Steel or
one of our approved engineering businesses developing a bespoke
design. The cost of this work would need to be considered in the
feasibility stage.

Colorcoat solar
collector profiles
The Colorcoat solar collector profiles are available in an attractive
range of wall profiles providing a variety of options for your
buildings design to blend or contrast with the wall cladding. All are
supplied in a 0.7mm steel gauge.
The load/span information in the table beside is based on a total load
of 1.00 kN/m2 and a deflection limit of L/150 and should be used as a
guide only. For full load span table information please visit our website
or contact the technical department.
The Steel Construction Institute (SCI) has independently assessed all the
structural elements of the Trisomet SC System and issued the SCI
assessed quality mark.
Due to the BS 5950 standard for profile design being withdrawn in
2010, the SCI have recalculated all Tata Steel profiles to the new
Eurocode BS EN 1993-1-3:2006 (EC3) which is being increasingly
demanded by clients and insurers.
