Ch 1.0
INTRODUCTION
RCM Exception Handling is basically used to handle the exceptional cases. For e.g. if
the meter reading of current month is less than the meter reading of previous month
then this case comes under exceptional case. Similarly there are various categories
under which a case considered as exception case. A BSES employee goes to the site
to perform his job. He checks the meter status, if any problem is found in meter then
the exception case is send to MMG department, likewise different exception cases are
send to different departments. RCM Exception Handling is placed under ONLINE MIS.
When a case is recognized as exceptional case then it is shown under RCM
Exceptional Details. Details of a case will be shown after selecting the Division,
Cycle/Bill Month in exception handling. If user wants to see the exceptional case on
the basis of Type of Exception, then user should select type of exception and then
list exceptional cases under that type of exception is shown under RCM Exceptional
Details. By default the status of the case is opened. The opened status can be
either closed or rejected.
If the case has been punched under Exceptional cases and is genuine then
action is taken against the case and the case is closed, but if the case is not genuine
then the case is rejected. User can view various reports such as:
List of Exceptional Cases
MIS on Exception Count Report.
Extra Meter Report.
Circle Wise MIS Report.

FORMWISE DETAILS
How to access the application
Step 1
Go to Internet Explorer and access the path
http://10.125.64.30/ONLINEMIS/
The following screen appears:

Enter MIS Login ID and PASSWORD and click on LOGIN button.

Step 2
As soon as the login id and password are verified, Following Screen appears.
Under ONLINE MIS heading, select the RCM Exception Handling .

Step 3
The login screen of Exception Handling Module is shown below. Enter a CAS Login Id
and PASSWORD, select module as RCM and click on the Submit button.

Step 4
RCM Exception handling Main Form:
As soon as the login id and password are verified; user can see the home page of
Exception Handling as below.

How it works:Steps:
1. Select the Division and Cycle/Bill Month from the drop down list. On selecting
ALLas cycle and Bill Month, the report shows detail of all exception cases. But if
user selects any particular cycle and then selects any particular Bill Month then
the report shows exceptions cases of only those particular cycle and Bill Months.

2. If user wants to see the cases on the basis of any particular Exception Code then
select the desired Exception Code from the Drop down List. All the exceptional
cases under selected Exception Code are shown.

All Exception option to view All Exceptions.
Opened option to view those Exceptions which are opened.
Rejected option to view those Exceptions which are rejected.
Closed option to view those Exceptions which are closed.
3.1.

When type of exception is All Exception


It shows necessary details of the cases whether opened, closed or rejected.

3.2. When type of exception is Opened.
It shows the necessary details of the cases whose status is opened. Through
this form user can handle exception cases i.e. if the case has to be closed or
rejected, it can be done through this form.

How it works:Steps:
1. In opened cases, status and remarks box gets active.
2. Check the Check box(s) of the Exception case(s) which user wants to take
an action.

3. Select the status option

a. If the case is genuine then select the closed status, and then enter
the Remarks (Optional).
b. If the case is not genuine then selects the Rejected status, and
then enters the remarks (Mandatory).

4. To save the changes click on the save button.

When type of exception is Rejected.


It shows necessary details of the cases whose status is rejected.

REPORTWISE DETAILS
List of Exceptional Cases: This report shows the list of exceptional cases. There are two options:
1. Master Job List
2. Exception Details.

1. Master Job List:- When user selects the option Master Job List and
Exception code then following window will appear. This window shows the
exceptional cases detail including no. of days since when the cases are
pending, under the heading Pending Since.

2. Exception Details:- When user selects the option Exception Details then
following window will appear. This window shows all the basic details, of the
exception cases, on the basis of which user can take any action.

MIS On Exception Count:This report shows the summary of all exception code in a single window. It shows total
number of cases closed, rejected, auto closed or pending under each exception
category.
The case is auto closed if any other department has take an action into the case then
by default case will be closed.
The case is pending if no action has been taken on it. Under Pending it shows the
number of days since when the case is pending

Extra Meter Report:The detail of those person who are not BSES consumer but are still illegally using the
electricity, is shown under this report.

Circle Wise MIS Count:If user wants to see the circle wise report such as report of North East then select the
circle option and exception code.

Details Exceptions:Detail Exception shows the detail of exception cases. If user selects ALL as
exception code the report shows detail of all exception cases registered. But if user
selects any particular exception code then the report shows exceptions cases with
that particular code only.
