Elysee has produced a complete range of polypropylene mechanical joint compression fittings
(metric series from nominal diameter 16 mm up to 110mm, which can be assembled to
low, medium and high density polyethylene pipes (PE80 & PE100), manufactured according to
ISO 14236, EN12201, DIN8074/DIN8075, DIN8072/DIN8073, BS6730, BS6572, ISO4427,
CYS106 or any other equivalent national or international standard.

SADDLES PRODUCT RANGE

Elysee has produced a complete range of polypropylene saddles (metric series from nominal
diameter 20 mm up to 200mm, which can be assembled to low, medium and high density
polyethylene pipes (PE80 & PE100), manufactured according to ISO 13460, EN12201,
DIN8074/DIN8075, DIN8072/DIN8073, BS6730, BS6572, ISO4427, CYS106 or any other
equivalent national or international standard. Saddles can also be assembled to PVC pipes
manufactured according to DIN 8061/8062 & EN 1452.

MATERIALS
BODY, NUT & INSERT: Black high performance polypropylene copolymer PP-B with
excellent long-term pressure resistance and also high impact resistance compared to other
plastic materials. They also offer excellent weathering properties from degradation due to
ultra-violet radiation. Continuous use of all the black Elysee compression fittings above ground
is therefore permissible without additional protection.
SPLIT RING: The split ring is manufactured from high performance polyacetal material. The
stiffness and hardness of this provides high-end load resistance. Elysee compression fittings
can be used to join all types of polyethylene pipes and also HDPE PE100 class pipes, which are
considered to be the stiffer pipe material.
O-RING: The O-Ring is made from elastomeric rubber NBR 70. The material by which is
made off is able to withstand the higher service temperature up to 90 degrees Celsius that can
be met.
REINFORCING RING: Stainless steel made ring, suitable for female threaded type
compression fittings and saddles. Enable high strength and pressure resistance especially on
high diameters and threads where the above factors are particularly critical.
BOLTS & NUTS: Stainless or galvanized steel made, available on several diameters and
thickness for the optimum fit on each size of saddle.

THREADED PARTS
Where threaded parts either male or female are meet on the compression fittings and saddles;
the dimensions comply with the requirements of the international standards BS 21 and ISO 7.

6 bar at 20oC for Saddles from 125 up to 200 mm.

COMPRESSION FITTINGS OPERATING TEMPERATURE

The fittings are not to be used with hot water, although they withstand the same
temperature as the polyethylene pipe itself. The fittings withstand sub-zero temperatures.
The pressure rating has to be adjusted as shown in the figure below (figure 1), if the
fittings are to be used in higher temperature.

fittings and saddles may convey a wide variety of fluids. They are also suitable for explore
to sunlight (UV).

POTABLE WATER CONDITIONS

All compression fittings, which are intend to be used for potable water supply systems, are
manufactured using approved raw materials concerning food contact requirements.
Samples of the final product are also subjected to laboratory tests, such as KTW and BS
6920, to prove that they shall not constitute a toxic hazard to drinking water quality.

LIFE EXPECTANCY

Based on the information available and the successful performance under the
nominated test regime, the life expectancy is rated at 50 years before replacement or
major rehabilitation. This rating is only a general guide to life expectancy and may increase
or decrease as a result of the quality of installation, system operating conditions, operating
environment and other geographical and site specific factors.

WARRANTY
All our products are warranted for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the delivery
date. Our warranty includes repair or replacement of defective parts in our production plant
or in the after-sale service location. Replacement or repair of parts under this warranty will
not extend the warranty period of the original product, through such parts carry their own
warranty.
For this warranty to be effective, the buyer must certify the date of acquisition and
reception of the product.
For this warranty to be effective, the buyer must be strictly following the
manufacturers indications, when relevant to the product line and model purchased. No
warranties are given in regard to normal wear and tear due to use of the products.
Regarding fungible or consumable pieces, components and/or materials, the provision
contained in the accompanying documentation shall apply.
This warranty does not cover those cases in which the product:
Has been incorrectly handled
Has been repaired, maintained, or modified by an unauthorized person
Has been repaired or maintained with other than original pieces
Has been installed or placed in operation incorrectly
Excepting mandatory regulations to the contrary, the expenses for return and shipment
of defective materials shall be paid by the buyer. The present warranty is no way limits or
prejudices consumers rights under national mandatory regulations.
