MANAGE.EDU:
Efficient Education Management Network for LLL in the Black Sea
Basin
The MANAGE.EDU project announces an
On-line Contest for Best Practices for Managing the Education
Institutions in the Black Sea Basin
The competition looks in particular for practices and experience implemented in
the following categories of institutions:
(1) Schools and vocational training institutions
(2) Higher education institutions
(3) Institutions for informal and non-formal education as well as NGOs
Orignating in the Programme Area of the JOP Black Sea Basin 2007-2013 in
particular Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece (NUTS II regions of Kentriki Makedonia and
Anatoliki Makedonia Thraki), Georgia, R. Moldova, Romania, Russia (Rostov Oblast,
Krasnodar Krai and Adygea Republic), Turkey (NUTS II equivalent regions of
stanbul, Tekirda, Kocaeli, Zonguldak, Kastamonu, Samsun and Trabzon), Ukraine
(Odeska, Mykolayivska, Khersonska, Zaporizhska and Donetska Oblasts, Autonomous
Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol).

End date for on-line submission: 20.12.2013
The best practices need to be described along the template of the MANAGE.EDU
project attached in this announcement. They can be presented by organizations as
well as by individual experts, managers, authors, students and other stakeholders
from JOP BSB partner countries.

The practices submitted before 20.11.2013 will be presented and published in the
proceedings book of International scientific session for lecturers, students and PhD
students on MODERN METHODS AND TECHNOLOGIES FOR TEACHING AND
LEARNING, initiated by the International University College on 20-21.11.2013
The best 20 practices will be invited for participation (their authors and/or
initiating institutions) at the MANAGE.EDU International Fair, organized in the
spring of 2014 in Dobrich, Bulgaria.
The practices will be evaluated by a 15 expert committee nominated by the
MANAGE.EDU project partner organizations based on the following criteria:
1. Innovation: The practices have to be innovative. In this context,
"innovation" means the implementation of new ideas in the form of products
or services that are considered new for the Black sea region (such as
validation of competencies, recognition of informal and non-formal learning,
distance learning, etc.)
2. Qualitative Improvement: The practices need to entail qualitative
improvement in quality of education and the learning outcomes.
3. The practices need to foster equal opportunities and help combat
discrimination.
4. Networking and cooperation refers to collaborating with other project
partners and interfacing with other relevant players.
5. Sustainability refers to its long-term orientation and stability.
6. "Knowledge transfer" meant that, in the context of given process (e.g.
evaluation), knowledge had to passed on from one institution to another
(e.g. via media such as books, internet or databanks, exchange of experts
and meetings).
7. On-line voting the practices shall be published for public voting and
selection via the Internet Site of the MANAGE.EDU project.
For each of the criteria from 1 to 6 the experts will assign between 1 and 5 points.
The 15 most popular practices from the on-line voting will be receive points from 1
to 15 where the most popular practice will have the maximum 15 points while the
least popular one only 1. These points will be added to the sum of the experts
points and the practices shall be ranked according to the number of assigned
points. The winning 20 practices will be the ones with the highest total score.
