DISTRIBUTION OF WORK:
First we discussed together in Catalan all the business ideas that we could carry out.
Then we have divided the work:
Pedro chose to define the companies 1 to 9 and Joan made companies 10 to 19.
Gemma made the comparative table of 19 companies.
The most voted company was FITNESS followed by RENEWABLE ENERGY, SOLAR
PANELS.

BUSINESS PURPOSE
Definition: It will be a company dedicated to sport and will have different fitness areas.
We will have three rooms:
In the first room you can practice martial arts and similar.

In the second room different activities such as pilates, aerobics, toning,... will be
done.
In the third room we will find a big variety of fitness machines.
The costumers, if they like, will have a personal trainer who will help them to get their
annual fitness goals.
In addition, we will offer a childcare service, so parents can leave the children while they
practice exercise.
The needs that it satisfies: Offering a big variety of physical activities, apart from being
healthy,
it's a necessity for us to satisfy the costumers benefiting their welfare improving the
personal autonomy, the memory, the speed of ideas, and improving their self-esteem at
the same time.
The innovations that it provides: We have a childcare service because if some parents
want to do exercise and they don't know where to leave the children, they can leave them
in 9 GYM childcare.
Situation that justifies this gap in the market: We decided to locate our business in
Manacor because it's a very big town and there are a lot of possibilities to get customers.

NAME SELECTION

9 GYM: is related to innovation in sport, therefore, its name is New Gym.

THE CHOSEN NAME AND LOGO ARE

We have chosen this logo because it is the one that we liked. The image of the logo
signifies the importance of sport to improve our life quality.
The name refers to a new place for sport. A new place to play sports, hang out, have fun
while...

SELECTION OF THE LOCATION

We decided to set our business in Manacor because it's a very big town with a great
number of residents and there are a lot of possibilities to make customers and to be
speedily known.
We have chosen this location for the following reasons:

One of us lives in Manacor and the other two live near and the road isn't long.
It is easy to find because it's a town that the people know perfectly.
It has easy access to parking.

POSSIBLE PLACES
The first place is at 3, Numancia street.
It has 400 square meters.
It's near the center of Manacor.
Monthly rental costs 1,600.
Advantages:
The location is good and it has enough lighting.
Disadvantages:
The rental is quite expensive and so are the construction costs and reforms because the
place is unfinished. In addition, there are columns that limit the width of the rooms and a
4x6 square meters quadrant that contains the steps of the floors above.

The second place, which is the one we have finally chosen, is at 12 , Via Portugal.
It has 400 m2 and great showcase with anti-theft glass.
It's near the center of Manacor.
Monthly rental costs 1300.
Advantages:
The location is very good and it has a lot of lighting. On the other hand, it is on a corner
and it has various entrances and we have different options to place the main entrance.
The rental is more economical than the other places with the same dimensions.
Disadvantages:
It needs the toilets construction and the separation walls of the rooms.

The third place is in the industrial park, in Ferrers street.

It has 900 square meters.
It is in Manacor industrial park.
Only with option to buy and it costs 1.200.000.
Advantages:
It's very spacious and for this reason more training rooms could be created, expanding the
business.
Disadvantages:
It needs the total inside construction.
The local purchase is very high.
It's far from the centre and the access is limited.

DISTRIBUTION OF WORK:
We have thought about our company, distribution, activities, machinery... We thought of 8
names for our company and by voting we have obtained the name.
We have organized so that each one of us performs a certain work.
We have divided the work as follows:
1. Designing a logo with paper and pencil (Pedro and Gemma)
2. Designing two logos with images from internet (Pedro, Joan and Gemma)
3. To choose a logo we voted. Gemma is responsible for making the logo and
simplifying it, she has also created personal evaluation.
4. The selection of the location has been written by Joan.
5. We visited the 3 possible places, for best selection. Pedro and Joan were
responsible for writing the description of them
6. For the layout we designed a sketch by hand and Pedro made the layout in 2D and
3D.
We chose the logo place, name, location, easily...
The only difficulty we have had has been to find a place that the 3 partners like.
Apart from that we have perfectly coordinated to work in group.
