This book is an attempt to bring our focus on the true and core essence of learning from the epic
‘Mahabharat’ with respect to ‘Vidur Niti’.
We come across a lot of difference of opinions when we try to learn from ‘Mahabharat’ and so
we fail to understand the true essence of the same.
In this book we will focus only on most important areas of learning from ‘Mahabharat’ with
respect to ‘Vidur Niti’ to understand the core message behind the same in just ‘2 Pages’.
I have already written my view on ‘Bhagvad Gita’ in just a page in one of my earlier books. This
time I have selected ‘Vidur Niti’, again a very important PART of the epic ‘Mahabharat’.
The views mentioned in this book are neither influenced from any religious beliefs nor based on
direct reference to any particular God.
PLEASE READ IT ONLY AS A MANAGEMENT BOOK and not as a direct comment on any
religion or God or anything and everything that is directly and/or indirectly linked to various
literatures for interpretation of ‘Mahabharat’ and/or ‘Vidur Niti’ and/or for that matter anything
which may even directly and/or indirectly link to anyone’s religious beliefs etc.
This book is a sincere and honest attempt to add maximum value and meaning to our current
form of material existence as a human being, in the minimum possible investment of our time. It
is a small contribution from my end as compared to the entire galaxy of knowledge that can be
explored by us.
If we get clarity in the universal principles of ‘Life Management’ then we can easily build on it,
even by referring to other literatures available on ‘Mahabharat / Vidur Niti’ and/or from other
books whether linked to any religion or not or by any other mode, which is related to life
management based on spiritual intelligence, as one may believe into or choose to refer.
As we all say ‘Learning is a continuous and never ending process if we try to learn with an Open
Mind’. So let’s stick to what we all say!
Here the methodology which we will follow is that to discuss a few details of Mahabharat and
then to quote the original ‘Sanskrit’ verses by Vidur and try to learn the spiritual management
philosophy from the same.

MAHABHARAT - Learning Management from Vidur Niti in 2 Pages
‘MAHABHARAT’ is a very huge and one of the most respected holy epics.
However, the most relevant and fundamental characters of it, as per my opinion, from
management learning point of view are Shri Krishna and three families of the sons of Ved Vyas,
the author of Mahabharat himself, as below:
Vidur Niti
Vidur gave consultancy to his brother Dhritrastra about his views specific to the war between
Pandavas and Kauravas and also about life as a whole, which is popularly known as ‘Vidur
Niti’. Hence before we start learning FEW of the most valuable teachings by Vidur, let’s try to
understand the management learning set-up of Mahabharat, looking at its FEW details as below:
MAHABHARAT
Basic Understanding:
Name Represents
Ved Vyas The Spiritual Management Guru. The one who teaches the truth of life
Shri Krishna The Mind. Mind connects our soul to the body through brain
Name Represents
Pandu The Positive Intelligence Quotient of brain
Kunti / Madri The Positive Emotional Quotient of brain
(Five) Pandavas Our five Senses Viz. touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing
Name Represents
Dhritrastra He was blind i.e. Misguided Negative Intelligence Quotient of brain
Gandhari She blindfolds herself i.e. Biased Negative Emotional Quotient of brain
(Hundred) Kauravas Material Desires. They are never ending, aimed at senses gratification
Kurukshetra Our current form of life as a Human being having five senses with mind
Victory of Pandavas Liberation of Soul i.e. Salvation/Moksha/Nirvana. It means our freedom
from material lives on material planets Viz. Earth, Heaven and Hell

Learning Management from VIDUR NITI - The Spiritual Quotient of Brain (SQ)
The one, who being very wealthy, powerful, learned and famous; does not feel ego and
maintains humbleness, is a holy soul.
Three major things which lead us i.e. the soul, to Hell are: Lust, Anger and Greed.
The one, who has six major negative qualities Viz. jealousy, ego, greed, anger, suspicion and
laziness, spends a life full of sorrow and dissatisfaction.
The one who faces adversities with bravery is a super soul, who finally wins.
The one; who’s vision, thoughts, speech and actions aim at serving all forms of lives across the
globe, in a selfless state of mind is the real leader who is admired by the world at large.
The one; who donates to serve others in a selfless state of mind; has no intention of generating
‘Positive Karmas (Deeds)’ out of it to enjoy life in Heaven so also the one who keeps control
over Attachments out of deception and greed and Aversions out of anger and ego is a super soul.
Such holy soul continues to manage the material aspects of life, but in a detached way to lead
ahead towards spiritual growth; who then finally achieves Salvation / Moksha / Nirvana i.e.
permanent liberation of the soul from the slavery of temporary forms of material lives on various
material planets Viz. Earth, Heaven and Hell.
It’s very easy to get those who misguide others by flattering upon the false knowledge about life.
However it’s difficult to get one who may sound difficult to listen, but who is actually sharing
the real truth of life for well-being of all forms of lives across the universe, forever.
