Key Roles and Responsibilities, Receiving

Daily truck routing and dispatch


Manager truck maintenance programs
Oversee the donation process; insuring the donation experience is held in high
regard
Manage the flow of products with ReStore Managers to insure continual flow of
donations.
Work toward reducing touch costs, direct staff and volunteers on what we keep,
recycle, or discard
Monitor and maintain accurate donation counts for our commercial and domestic
accounts
Monitor and maintain our tax receipting program, oversee the process and forward
the completed package to Fund Development
Collect material and data from salvage programs and input data
Be knowledgeable of our programs; be able to field questions regarding Habitat for
Humanity Greater Vancouver
Attend and contribute to monthly safety/operational meetings

Provide input for our operational plan and budget


Record and report any injuries or misconducts
Oversee an maintain our metal recycling programs, bin packing and pickup
Maintain professional work ethics, be respectful of your coworkers an volunteers
Keep personal interests and visiting to a minimum

Key Roles and Responsibilities, Administrative

Responds to phone, email and in person enquiries providing general information and
referring enquiries to appropriate sources based on a general knowledge of
HFHGVs priorities, policies, procedures and personnel.
Maintains confidentiality, tact and respect at all times.
Ability to manage through complex issues using problem solving skills
Comply with all policies and procedures

Qualifications
Education and Experience

3 to 5 years of previous experience warehousing


Previous logistics or dispatch experience
Experience in the not-for profit industry is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Strong skills in all MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
High level of detailed orientation
Proven ability to effectively prioritize work and work flow
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to exercise good judgement and understanding and application of discretion
Strong sense of initiative and proactive approach
Ability to both self-start and take direction
Demonstrates a high standards of ethics related to HFHGV values and exercises
confidentiality to handle sensitive information
