Good day!
During the AIT Student Council general assembly last
November 19, Vice-chair Munoz, in the presence of FST
Representative Juan Luis Alfonso Gonzaga, formally raised a
complaint regarding FST Representative Gonzaga's performance.
Vice-chair Munoz's statement was backed up with Batch
Representative Osorio's statement reporting that FST Representative
Gonzaga is not duly performing his duties as stated at the AIT
Constitution Section 4:
"The Year Level Representatives shall be the respective head of a
year level and shall:
4.1 Head all internal activities of his/her respective year level;
4.2 Make sure that their Batch mates are well informed and up to date
with the issues and concerns of the university..
4.2 Be accountable to the General Assembly in all questions that may
arise regarding his/her respective year level;
4.3 Be responsible in creating and disseminating oral and written
proposals and propaganda concerning activities of his/her respective
year level."
Consequently, Secretariat Councilor Ivy Balagot informed the body
regarding FST Representative Gonzaga's attendance on council
meetings and activities, and respectfully reported that he exceeded
the allowable excused and/or unexcused absences as per the AIT SC
2014-2015 House Rules VII Section 8:
"Meanwhile, consecutive and/or cumulative excused absences may
be deemed as grounds for recommendation of leave of absence or
resignation depending on the gravity of the situation of the concerned
council member. For absences accumulated from four unexcused
tardiness, these shall be regarded as unexcused cumulative absence.
The Council Secretary shall also inform the Chairperson of such
actions. The concerned member ceases to be a member and shall be
informed by the Council Secretary of the fact. The attendance for GAs
and council activities will be recorded separately."
In accordance with the constitution and house rules, Councilor
Balagot, with my consent, sent a warning letter to FST Representative
Respectfully yours,
