V.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This

chapter

provides

the

summary

of

findings,

conclusions, and recommendations of the study based on the


analysis of data gathered and presented in the previous
chapters.
Summary of Findings
This study was conducted in order to assess the on
the job training of Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Technology

Students

of

our

Lady

of

the

Pillar

College-

Cauayan. Based on the answers of the respondents on the


questionnaire, the researcher found the following:
A. Profile of the Teacher-respondents
1. 2 or 29% of the teacher-respondents belong to the age
bracket of 36-40 years old.
2. 5 or 71% of the teacher-respondents are male and 2 or
29% of the BSAT teacher-respondents are female.
3. Majority of the teacher-respondents are married.
4. 3

43%

of

the

teacher-respondents

are

teaching service for more than 10-15 years.

B. Profile of the BSAT Student-respondents


1. Majority of the student-respondents are 19 years old
and below.
2. There are more female student trainee respondents than
male student trainee respondent.
3. All of the student-respondents are single.
4. Majority of the student-respondents studied in Public
school in their high school.
C. Leadership Skills
The

students

and

teachers

agree

that

the

students

possess self-confidence, take a firm stand and act with


certainty, persistent, dependable, consistent and reliable,
responsible,

diligent,

industrious

and

hardworking;

that

the students know what something is or how it works; the


students are enthusiastic and show interest and excitement;
the students are motivated because they know that they do
well.
D. Communication Skills
The students and teachers agree that the students show
interest as a listener; the students know how to question;
that the students can get easily get along with others; the

E. Learning Skills

something

by

comparing

or

pointing

out

similarities of differences between two or more subjects;


that the students possess critical thinking and know how to
learn independently.

F. Technical Skills
The students and teachers agree that the students are
computer literate and they know how to apply basic skills;
that the students know how to make things easier by using
technology; that the students are able to adapt new lessons
about

technical

advantage;

that

the

students

prefer

learning through application. The students agree to have


confidence in their technical skills. On the other hand,
the

teachers

assessed

the

students

to

be

neutrally

confident. The students could hardly cope up to new lessons


to be applied. The students strongly agree and the teachers
agree

that

the

students

are

willing

to

learn

more

to

improve their technical skills.


Conclusions
Based on the foregoing findings, the researchers concluded
the following:

1. The

students

must

either

maintain

or

improve

their

skills to be more competitive in this rapidly growing


industry.
2. The students must maintain these skills before, during
and after the on - the - job training deployment.
3. Based on the assessment, faculty assessed the students
as

neutral

in

terms

of

their

confidence

in

their

technical skills, although an overall result regarding


technical

skills

is

just

enough

to

accompany

their

competencies to others in terms of that. This skill


must give more emphasis.
4. The

teacher

techniques

that

should
may

adapt
help

to

innovative
improve

teaching

the

students

skills.
5. The

students

are

highly

recommended

to

build

confidence and seek ways to adjust themselves in order


for them to cope up new lessons to be applied.
6. The future researchers must improve and develop this
study and reduce whatever lapses it possesses.
7. Future researcher should study the performance of the
trainee (fourth year Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Technology students) during and after their onthe-job
training.
