Setting Out Methodology

Instructions
1. Secant piles are drawn as 450mm diameter. Sheet piles are drawn as 450mm overall width. Confirm piling dimensions to Architect and await adjustments and/or instruction to proceed.
2. Establish Setting Out Point 1 at junction of the existing house and ace of No.33 garden wall as shown.
3. Establish Setting Out Point 2 at the north-east, inside corner of the garden wall brick pier as shown.
4. Establish Setting Out Point 3 at corner of rear garden wall gate opening as shown.
5. Measure from Setting Out Point 1 along the face of the garden wall to establish Point A
6. Measure from Setting Out Point 2 along the face of the garden wall to establish Point B
7. Follow dimensions and instructions as given on this drawing to establish piling centrelines.
General Notes
A. Establish all Setting Out Points approximately 1 metre above existing garden/paving level.
B. Setting out points are established at points we expect to be unobstructed at the time of setting out. If a point isu navailable please Architect for alternative instructions.
C. Piling lines are parallel offset from the boundary walls. This will be a 'Best-Fit' line to account for deviations along the existing structures.
D. Please contact the Architect if the dimensions provided do not resolve or add up.
