Safety, Security, Health and Environment Policy


VISION:
ZAWTIKA 1B Project will strive to achieve SSHE excellence and leadership by establishing injury-free workplaces, a leader in
security and health management and committed to demonstrating environmental responsibility and protection.
MISSION:
Develop and maintain a culture where Management lead by SSHE example to ensure a safe working environment and
achievement of the Project SSHE deliverables
Create a SSHE culture where management, employees and Subcontractors understand and manage uncompromisingly
the SSHE risks in their working environment
Eliminate all incidents, occupational illness and injuries through effective hazard management and behaviour-based
safety programs, whilst sustaining and protecting the environment
Maintain and track our performance against SSHE benchmarks that are comparable and exceed International best
practices
COMMITMENTS:
The Project Management Team will establish Project SSHE Management Systems and Policies that outlines the main principles
and accountabilities to drive SSHE continual improvement and achieve required SSHE deliverables. We are committed to;
Actively encouraging positive SSHE culture through visible SSHE leadership and commitment achieved through management and
employee involvement, ownership and accountability
Insisting on the principles of SAFETY FIRST, PROACTIVE PREVENTION PRIORITY whenever and wherever a conflict arises
between production progresses, business profitability with safety, security, health and prevention of pollution
Maintaining that WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE, HE/SHE IS RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE so that safety, security, health
and pollution prevention are implemented into all work processes and every employees work area and sustained throughout the
Project
Actively gathering, identifying and meeting or exceeding compliance with all applicable SSHE laws, regulations in all countries where
project operates and PTTEP Standards in all of our operations
Providing employees and sub-contractors with safe, hygienic and healthy work sites, safe and reliable work facilities, tools, vehicles,
plant and equipment and personal protection equipment, which meet with approved international standards
Establishing training plans for improvement of employees and sub-contractors safety management capability, competency and
hazard awareness, including emergency response skills related to safety, health, security and environmental protection.
Effectively reducing risks to ALARP through recognised processes of hazard identification and management, risk control and
mitigation as well as the establishment of effective contingency response arrangements
Providing Subcontractors with SSHE information requiring them to develop their SSHE management system in meeting with Project
SSHE requirements and continually monitoring their performance to ensure SSHE deliverables are realised
Effectively cascade and socialise the Project and Individual SSHE requirements, rules and policies in appropriate languages and
hold, Sub-Contractors, Individuals and Leadership accountable for repeated and high-risk infringement actions as required by the
Project Zero Tolerance Policy
Provide sufficient resources, funding and arrangements to protect and ensure personnels continuous health and well-being
Implement an effective Stop Work and Intervention Policy to prevent loss and continually promote an Injury Free Working
environment
Ensure all personnel are fit for work, establish health programs and implement substance abuse and testing policies

We recognise that people are the Projects most valuable asset, their individual safety, security and
health is fundamental to the success of the Project.
All Management and employees are mandated to proactively participate in SSHE and Risk reduction, and
to work together in achieving a healthy, safe working environment and environmental preservation. Ensuring that we
successfully undertake and complete the Project without any; serious loss, damage or impact to People, Environment,
Asset or the Reputation of both PTTEP and COOEC.
