Check for correct database server name, i.e. if you are using SQL Server Express, your database server
name should be similar to this : localhost/SQLEXPRESS
Ensure that the database name you have entered does not exist in your SQL Server. Access Manager will
automatically create the database structure; hence there should be no duplicate database name.
Ensure that the username you have entered is allowed to create database in SQL
Ensure that you have allowed SQL Authentication on your SQL Server
You would have to do an authentication on the ACTAtek unit thereby creating an event log, before the
ACTAtek unit will send event logs to Access Manager. Note that manually adding of event log on ACTAtek
unit web interface; will not trigger the sending of event logs. You can check the status of sending event
logs via ACTAtek unit web interface Terminal List Server List.
Ensure that all previous Server Lists have been deleted from the Terminal List
Ensure that the time zones on both Access Manager Lite and ACTAtek unit have been configured correctly
Ensure that you have installed the correct version of Access Manager Lite (32 or 64 bits) as per your
Server OS
Ensure that Cassini Web Server has been installed properly
Ensure that both the Cassini Web Server and SQL Server services are running. You can do so by going to
Run and enter Services.msc to check on services running.
Ensure that there are no applications running at the same port number (7780) as Access Manager Lite
Ensure that you are using the correct Access Manager Firmware version (for ACTA2 : 2_06.x ; for ACTA3 :
3_06.x)
Confirm that you have enabled Access Manager option for Terminal Mode on Terminal Setup (for ACTA2
only)
Ensure that the Server is up and accessible by entering the Endpoint URL on a web browser and receiving
output
Ensure that your firewall is not blocking Port 7780
