FOR CENTRAL NY
This area includes but is
not limited to cities such
as Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca,
Elmira, Binghamton, and
Oneonta.
FOR NORTHEAST PA
This area includes but is
not limited to cities such
as Towanda, Montrose,
Scranton, and WilkesBarre.

Changes Since Last Briefing


Still expecting accumulating snows Today
through Tonight as system strengthens and
persists over our region, and temperatures
turn colder. Snow will also become
drier/fluffier with time, so more prone to
blowing and drifting.
Many lower elevations and western areas
had little to no snow during the initial stage
of system Tuesday. Adjustments were
made to total snow amounts; including
lesser amounts for lower elevations
especially from Twin Tiers southward.

Impacts
STORM IS NOT OVER; it is a longduration system.
Sustained period of light to moderate
accumulating snow Today through
Tonight. Snow covered roads through
early Thursday morning, especially
over the higher terrain.
Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with
gusts to 30 mph will cause some
blowing and drifting snow, especially
this aftenroon through this evening.
