constitute 68 % of all graduates in journalism, yet only 40 % of all media employees.

Despite their crucial role in our modern high-tech society,


women are not represented in the media according to their
number, to their social involvement, to their real life.

In 2013, the European Institute for


Gender Equality (EIGE) conducted several studies in the area of women and
the media. Among them was a report
focusing on the participation and access
of women to expression and decision
-making in the media.
