(Corporate) Strategy Expert

Description
The (Corporate) Strategy Expert owns the global strategy definition project deliverables and is
responsible for day-to-day project management. The (Corporate) Strategy Expert works closely together
with the steering committee and the Executive Sponsor, as well as the SAP (or partner) consulting team.
There should always be a Customer Strategy Expert and an SAP Strategy Expert. This ensures the
coordination of the customer project team as well as the communication channels. The responsibilities
outlined below should be split between the two Strategy Experts and based on the skill sets and
experience levels of both individuals. This division of responsibilities varies from project to project. The
SAP Strategy Expert and the Customer Strategy Expert should work closely together during the entire
project. An open and cooperative way of working is particularly important for these two parties.
The (Corporate) Strategy Expert must proactively anticipate project deviations and be responsible for
taking immediate corrective action. It is also the responsibility of the Customer Strategy Expert to
understand the business process integration of the overall system in the companys environment.
The (Corporate) Strategy Expert is a member of the steering committee and must be fully supported by
that body. The (Corporate) Strategy Expert has the authority make decisions regarding all project
relevant issues and the budget. He or she escalates the strategic issues to the sponsor for a common
decision. The regular decisions are the domain of the (Corporate) Strategy Expert.
