biomedical and genomics data, biomarker discovery, and translational/clinical research for healthcare,
veterinary, agriculture, and food industries. GLS is a DSIR (Department of Scientific & Industrial
Research, India) recognized R&D organization providing contract research, sequencing as a service and
turn-key solutions in translational, clinical, agricultural and veterinary genomics research.
We are looking for a Scientist in NGS Data Analysis to join our rapidly expanding clinical genomics
division in the computational biology and genome analysis group. As Bioinformatics Scientist you will be
responsible for the analysis and interpretation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This work will be done as part of a team of Scientists, Clinicians, Programmers and Analysts passionate
about solving complex scientific problems in biology and genetics ranging from cancer genomics to plant
germplasm selection. The job requires creating and using software systems to analyze biological data.
Some of the common scenarios include variant prioritization from cancer samples, building custom
databases for clinical conditions or of pharmaceutical importance. Publication of genuinely developed
methods may be encouraged.
The Scientist will play a key role in delivering NGS and microarray data analysis projects, supporting
product development, managing NGS projects for clients and offering guidance to Programmers and
Analysts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop methods, protocols and algorithms for analysis NGS data for clients from pharmaceutical,
biotech and academic institutions worldwide

Analyze sequencing data, perform appropriate QC measures and interpret the results as per clients
