At Genome Life Sciences (GLS) we develop innovative algorithms, tools and databases for analysis of
biomedical and genomics data, biomarker discovery, and translational/clinical research for healthcare,
veterinary, agriculture, and food industries. GLS is a DSIR (Department of Scientific & Industrial
Research, India) recognized R&D organization providing contract research, sequencing as a service and
turn-key solutions in translational, clinical, agricultural and veterinary genomics research.
We are looking for a Scientist in NGS Data Analysis to join our rapidly expanding clinical genomics
division in the computational biology and genome analysis group. As Bioinformatics Scientist you will be
responsible for the analysis and interpretation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop methods, protocols and algorithms for analysis NGS data for clients from pharmaceutical,
biotech and academic institutions worldwide
Analyze sequencing data, perform appropriate QC measures and interpret the results as per clients
requirements
Define and implement quality control procedures at both technological and biological levels for
high volumes of NGS data. Assist, collaborate, consult with internal/external researchers on
analyses of NGS data
Contribute for proposal development and scientific writing in Grants and Solicitations.
