Solos:

Thank you to everyone who auditioned and prepared solos. I appreciate the time and effort you put forth. I have decided not to include
all of the Frozen selections on our concert. Here are the reasons:
1) Some solos did not have anyone audition for them.
2) Timing, text and/or range was an issue for most.
3) For duets, there was a strong option for one of the voices, but not equal strength on both.
If there was more time, I could coach students and correct issues like timing, but we are just days away from the concert. Therefore, the
following selections were made from Frozen:
Let It Gono vocal solo. Piano solo by Kat Bramlett, instead.
Reindeer are Better than PeopleTyler Truelove (Kristoff), Jacob Bryant (Sven, guitar)
Do You Wanna Build a SnowmanHalle MacPherson, Brooke Blackwell, Bailey MacPherson
This eliminates the following 4 solos: For The First Time in Forever, In Summer, Frozen Heart, and Love is An Open Door
The following performances will replace these 4 eliminated pieces . . . the choices were made because these pieces are solid and ready to
perform Monday night. Again, with more time I could open this up to more people, but I have to go with what I know will be ready.
Bethlehem Star
Heidi & Jake Hulsey
Santa Baby
Kelsey Clark and Nicole Kirkman

Silent Night
Sehnya Washington & Elizabeth Stampfli
What Child Is This
Merm Crow

On White Christmas, I would like to divide the low solo into 2 parts & the high solo into 2 parts, with all 4 soloists ending the song together
The low solo division:
Part 1: Im dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know. Where those tree tops glisten and children listen to hear
sleighbells in the snow, snow.
Part 2: So then I yi yi am dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write. May your days may your days be merry and
bright and may all your Christmases be white.
The high solo division:
Part 1: I dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know
Part 2: Where the treetops glisten and the children listen to hear sleighbells in the show
Both high soloists: Yi yi yi Im dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write.
All soloists: and may all your Christmases be white
White Christmas call-backs . . .
Low: Kelsey Clark, Jacob Bryant, Layne MacPherson, Leo Serres
High: Kat Bramlett, Merm Crow, Layne MacPherson, Alyssa Harris
I want to try these students (and any that I may hear during class tomorrow) in different combinations, so I can determine the best
fit/chemistry. There is always the possibility I might return to one voice for low and one voice for high, but if I can give more opportunities,
then I will. The auditions have been strong, so I want to showcase their talent as much as possible.
