If the collector temperature cannot be correctly acquired because the pump is not running (especially in the case of
vacuum tubes), the pump can be activated from time to time.
--- = disabled
Minimum running time of collector pump
When there is risk of frost at the collector, the collector pump is activated to prevent it.
--- = disabled
If there is a risk of overtemperature at the collector, storage tank charging is continued to reduce the amount of surplus
heat
If there is a risk of evaporation of the heat conducting medium due to high collector temperatures, the collector pump is
deactivated
Type of antifreeze:
None
Ehtylen glycol
propylen glycol
Ethyl and propyl glycol
The type of antifreeze used and its concentration must be entered, thus allowing calculation f the energy yield
The pumps flow rate in l/h must be determined and serves for calculating the volumetric flow
Defines the flow rate per pulse for the selected input Hx. For that purpose, the respective input Hx must be configured
for counting pulses

GAS ADAPTIVE SYSTEM

LUNA4 is provided with a brand new system GAC (Gas Adaptive Control): the electronic
control together with the gas valve grant an automatic control of the combustion and ensure
the following advantages during the installation as well as for the end user:
Reduction of the time for the installation, as any manual intervention has been deleted
(adjustment or nozzles change);
The boiler is able to adapt to the quality of the gas and to the length of the flue tubes
maintaining a constant efficiency helping a reduction of the gas consumption and generating
less pollution.
The Gas Adaptive System maintains correct combustion by comparing the measured Flame
Signal and the Reference Flame Signal. The Reference Signal follows a set curve depending
on fan speed and it is part of the software.
The system measures constantly the signal during the operation of the boiler and adjusts the
gas flow rate in order to maintain the correct signal and the correct CO level. In this way is
also considered the oxidation of the component (flame electrode and burner).
The electronic gas valve has a modulator used to set the properly flame signal and so the
correct air / gas ratio (LAMBDA).
If the system is not able to assure the correct flame signal the boiler goes in lockout.
The flame signal detected by the burner control is independent from:
- value and type of supply voltage;
- quality of the ground in the installation.

FAULT FINDING
1 Initial Fault Finding Checks
1. Check that gas, water and electrical supplies are available
at the boiler.
NOTE: When instructed press and hold
the Reset for between 1-3 seconds to
reset the boiler.

2. Electrical supply = 230V ~ 50 Hz.

4. The preferred minimum gas pressure is 10 mbar.
5. Carry out electrical system checks, i.e. Earth Continuity,
Resistance to Earth, Short Circuit and Polarity with a suitable
meter.
NOTE: These checks must be repeated after any
servicing or fault finding.
6. Ensure all external controls are calling for heat and check
all external and internal fuses. Before any servicing or
replacement of parts, ensure the gas and electrical supplies
are isolated.

18.2 Error Codes

Table Of Error Codes

1. If a fault occurs on the boiler an error code may be shown

by the facia display.

E20

Central Heating Flow NTC Fault

2. The codes are either a flashing two or three digit, number

preceded by the symbol 'E '.

E384

E20, E28, E40, E50, E83, E151, E160

and E384 indicate possible

faulty components.
E110

and E111 shows overheat of the primary.

E117 is displayed when the primary water pressure is more

than 2.7 bar.
E118 is displayed when the primary water pressure is less
than 0.5 bar.
E133

indicates that the gas supply has been interrupted,

ignition has failed or the flame has not been detected.
E125 is displayed in either of two situations:i) If within 15 seconds of the burner lighting the boiler
temperature has not changed by 1.
ii) If within 10 minutes of the burner lighting the boiler
temperature twice exceeds the selected temperature by 30.
In these instances poor primary circulation is indicated.
E128 is displayed if there has been a flame failure during normal
burner operation.

3. By pressing the 'Reset' button for between 1-3 seconds when

E 110, E125 & E133 are displayed it is possible to relight the
boiler.
4. If this does not have any effect, or error codes are displayed
regularly further investigation is required.
