Introduction
ensisas Preparatory Course is open to students who have a Baccalaurat
Scientifique, ie "A" levels in Science. It will allow them to obtain an
Engineering Degree after five years studies. Students are to follow the first two
years of the BSc course at the Facult des Sciences et Techniques de
lUniversit de Haute Alsace, completed by a specific preparatory course. This
complementary (20% extra) course is mainly based on scientific subjects,
French and English, as well as personal project work.120 ECTS credits - ie 4
semesters and satisfactory results obtained through continuous assessment in the
specific complementary preparatory courses - are required to follow ensisas
Engineering Course in one of its four specializations. This means that no
competitive exam is necessary for admission to ensisa.

Job description
In ensisas electrical & control engineering specialization course, students are
trained to become engineers in:
Complex system engineering
Research and Development engineering in the design, control and optimization
of complex systems. In this sector, engineers are basically versatile, capable of
apprehending and supervising concrete projects in advanced fields.

Instrumentation and signal & image processing, at expert level

In this sector, engineers are capable of analyzing and solving problems related to
the instrumentation of systems, and of processing signals and images for various
applications, for example in the fields of aeronautics, road transport or medicine.
Master's and PhDs

Masters in control science and software engineering

1) Control, signal and image
2) Embedded systems and networks
This research oriented Masters degree can lead to a PhD.
PhDs
Once students have obtained their Research Masters Degree, they can start a
PhD at two laboratories of the Universit de Haute Alsace, according to the
specialization courses (ISC - Mechanics - Fibres Science). These two
laboratories (LPMT - MIPS) are part of the Jean Henri Lambert Doctoral
School.
In addition to scientific taught courses, PhD students have the possibility to
carry out their vocational project along with their research work.

Research activities
Research acitivities are carried out by ensisas teacher-researchers in two
laboratories:
Laboratoire de Physique & Mcanique Textiles (LPTM)
(Laboratory of Physics and Mechanics of Textiles) A mixed research unit UMR 7189 - in the field of Fibres Science
Laboratoire de Modlisation Intelligence Processus Systmes (MIPS)
(Laboratory of Modelling, Intelligence, Process, Systems) in the field of
Automatic Control, Signal Processing and Computer Science.
ensisas Masters and PhDs also rely on the research activities of these
laboratories.

International relations

24% foreign student engineers

They represent 21 different nationalities.
30% of the students of the same year spend all or part of their studies abroad:
training periods, academic stays, vocational project work.
Bilateral exchanges
ensisa has numerous agreements for bilateral exchanges with foreign
universities and partnerships within the framework of specific agreements
with 19 universities or institutions all over the 5 continents.

International Program in Technology

The applicants have the possibility to create their own curriculum according to
their background , skills and topics of interest either in Mechanical Engineering,
Textile Engineering or in Electrical and Control Engineering. 30 credits have to
be selected among the offered courses.
Students of the program also take part to project works (150 hours approx.)
strongly linked to ENSISA research activities. Conferences on different
technical and scientific topics are also programmed over the whole semester.
