Description: Experience Idaho Photodesign Project
Process: For this project I used Adobe Photoshop.
Date: October 18, 2014
Course: Communications 130
Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives:
Process: I used the FOCUS process as I started to work on my

Photodesign. My first step was to formulate a plan. In that step I identified

my message and audience. Step two was to Organize the information.
Here I worked with the image and some large and small rectangles to
create the layout of this design. I really tried to make the image the focus
of this design. Third was to create Contrast. I did this by using an analogous
color scheme or brick, orange and gold to pull out the vibrate Fall colors in
the image. Fourth step was to Unify the elements. I did this by repeating
the color scheme and by using similar shapes and colors. The fifth and final
step was to Simplify the design. My design went through multiple critiques
that helped give me a better direction for my design. I didnt want to add
any more text to the design. I wanted it to have the feel of a postcard.
Working through this process has helped me created what I think to be an
attractive design.
