Introduction:
What is bank credit management?
Bank credit management is the combination of three things e, g Bank ,
Credit and Management .
Bank:
The financial institution that accept deposits from SSUs (the individuals
who have surplus spending units), lend to SDUs (the individuals who have
spending deficit units) and renders different services to its customers.
Credit:
An agreement between two parties under which goods, services or money
is exchanged on trust and against promise to repay in future.
Management:
The process of planning, organizing, leading and controlling business
activities in order to achieve desired goals.
So,
Overview of Project:
This project is about Bank Credit Management, in this project we have
done whole work which based on credit department of National Bank of Pakistan.
We choose the National Bank Pakistan main branch city Faisalabad at jail road.
This project comprises of four parts. We started this project with introduction of
subject, history of National bank of Pakistan and branch, products and services
offered and department of branch. Major areas which we have discussed are
corporate banking, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) banking and consumer
banking.
In corporate banking we analyzed the process of knowing the credit
worthiness of corporate and documentation requires for credit. In corporate
banking the product and types of corporate finance its credit policy, terms and
conditions and recovery method discussed. In Small and Medium enterprises we
mentioned the advancing procedure to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME)

Introduction to Branch:
History of Branch:
National Bank of Pakistan Main Branch situated Civil Line Faisalabad;
NBP jail road branch is established soon after the establishment of NBP in 1950
as it established its started consumer financing. For long time it continues its
operation having to dimension accepting deposits and advancing to consumer.
This branch started Small and Medium Enterprises banking in 2006 and
corporate financing in 2008.

Business Department:
At branch level it is branch managers job to bring business. He goes to
the market and convinces customer or clients for loans and deposits.
Operation Department:
When customer come in the branch for deposits or taking loan here
operation managers job starts he perform different functions on such as opening
an account, demand draft, issue cheque books.
Credit Department:
This department engages in the function of granting loan to borrowers i.e.
consumers, small and medium enterprises and corporate level after scrutinizing
their ability to repay and other requirements. Credit officer deals these kinds of
activities in big branches he is also known as credit manager.
Compliance Department:
This department performs the function of checking of rules and regulation
according to which loans are granted either is it according to the prudential
regulations or not. This department performs regulatory services.
Administration Department:
Administration department perform admin functions as well like payment
of salaries to employees, security and other functions.
