Starlit Campfire! By Mrs. Pendleton

35 Flaming Reading Stars and their families enjoyed a night under

the stars at the first Durhamville Reading Campfire! It was held Monday
evening, November 10th from 6 to 7. We had PTO snacks, songs, active games and fun! We
celebrated those students who had read at least 2,000 minutes in September and October. Thanks
to all these families for their support of reading and reaching for the stars. Thanks to the
Durhamville Volunteer Firefighters for their safe guidance. Last but not least, thanks also to Ms.
Knight & Mr. Mercer for being our music superstars! Staaarburst!!!!

Holiday Support
As the holiday season approaches, we wish to keep it simple and happy for our Durhamville
families and community. Since economic times are making this a stressful time for families,
please be aware there are available resources to assist families in need this holiday season. If
we can be of any assistance, please contact us at 363-8065 or via email at

mvisalli@oneidacsd.org or vsmith@oneidacsd.org by Friday, December 5. All information will

be kept confidential.
Holiday Cheer
As a staff, we discussed the holiday season. Though we appreciate your heartfelt kindness and
thoughtfulness, we feel very strongly that no gifts should be sent to school for staff members. We
hope you will respect our decision as a staff and support an organization or family in need. We
wish you the happiest of holidays and appreciate you sharing your good cheer with others.
