EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

Good academic record with at least 55 % of marks or an equivalent grade at the Master's degree level in
the relevant subject of concerned faculty.
The candidate should have passed NET examination conducted by UGC/CSIR or ICAR/NET recognised
by the State Government in the subject where NET Examination is conducted and should have published
at least one article in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated journal.
But, the candidate who has acquired Ph.D. degree with course work as per the UGC Notification-2009 and
published two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than four shall be exempted from
NET on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course
work will not qualify for NET exemption.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :

The candidate should possess the basic knowledge of computer application and should have passed CCC+
examination of Department of Electronic Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) society. If the
candidate has not passed the CCC+ examination, he will have to pass the same during the probation
period, failing which his probation period will not be regularized.

NET / SLET / SET or similar test shall not be required for such subjects for which they are not conducted.
A relaxation of 5 % from 55 % to 50 % of marks, at the Graduation and Master's level for the SC/ST/PH
category.
Candidates from Veterinary Faculty will be exempted from NET for a period of 5 years from date of
appointment.

A relaxation at 5 % from 55 % to 50 % of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their
Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such subjects for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.
For the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment, a relaxation of 5% at
the graduate and masters level for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Differently-abled (Physically and
visually differently-abled) categories of the candidates. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade
in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above
are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks excluding grace marks if any.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have
obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

IMPORTANT :(1)

New defined contributory pension scheme as introduced vide Government vernacular Resolution Dated : 18-3-2005 and 6-6-2005
No. NPN-2003-GOI-10-P will be applicable in case of candidates other than Gujarat Agricultural Universities employees and those
who are recruited after 1-5-2005.
(2) Candidate has to send only one application for the same discipline.
(3) The Basic Degree in deserving cases be relaxed in the cadre of Assistant Professor (Computer Science) in the Case of
Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University Employees.
(4) The posts in cadre of Assistant Professor and its equivalent will be filled-up as per Reservation Policy of the Government as

Before filling/submitting the application form candidate is advised to go through the


qualifications prescribed for the post (enclosed) and make sure that he/she
possesses the same.

(iii) The form and processing fee should be in form of Indian Postal Order. The
Postal Orders should have been issued by the Post Office, after the date of

To avoid delay in the receipt of application through proper channel the candidates
are advised to submit an advance copy of their application (complete in all respect)

Application without fees shall be rejected.
In case of SC/ST/SEBC/PH Certificate issued by component authority of Gujarat
State attested by Gazetted officer should be enclosed. In case of SEBC candidate
non-creamy layer certificate for the current year should be enclosed, otherwise
he/she will not be considered against SEBC category.

FILLING THE FORM :


When you apply for more than one post, you should submit a separate
application for each post.
Documentary proof in support of previous experience and academic
qualifications indicated in the application should invariably be sent along with the
application, failing which shall mean to believe that candidate does not possess
the experience and qualifications mentioned therein and the application shall be
treated as incomplete and may be rejected.
Clearly write the complete name of post for which you are applying. Please note
that where the name of post is not given it may not be possible for the Registrar
Office to entertain the application form failing which may lead the application to
be considered by the Registrar Office for any resembling post for which the
University shall not be held responsible.
The most important entries in this form are details of academic qualifications, list
of publications, teaching, research, extension experience and re-employment
record. Please make sure that all the details are given in the form in which they
are required.
Alongwith the application forms, a blank "SUMMARY FORM" is attached, in
which you are required to give a summary. The blank forms should be neatly
filled in and sent with the application in ten copies. The information asked for
under the different columns should be brief, but complete.
Item No. 27 deals with your publications. Please give details of title of papers on
separate sheet. Please note that the titles of the publications are not to be
lumped together but classified as original research papers, text books, reports,
bulletin, conference or seminar papers, extension literature, etc. Also please note
that you are to mention only those which have been published or printed you may
give reference to papers which have already been accepted for publication by a
standard journal.

A recent signed pass-port size photograph should be pasted on the application in


the space provided for the purpose, it may happen that the photograph is not
properly posted and tend to get detached from the application. In your own
interest you are, therefore, advised to write neatly your full name and post you
are applying for at reverse of the photograph. It will then be possible for us to
repaste such photographs on the application to which it belongs.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE : (Summary only for knowledge)


The conditions of service shall be as mentioned in the AGRICULTURAL
UNIVERSITIES ACT, 2004 and the STATUTES framed there under amended
from time to time. However, for the sake of convenience of the candidates, the
important provisions as they exist at present are indicated below :

All appointees will be on probation for a period of TWO years in the first
instance which may however be extended for one more year.
Employees are transferable within the jurisdiction of S.D. Agricultural
University where the similar post is existing.
Medical Certificate of Fitness : All the fresh recruitees shall furnish, before
joining (he post a medical certificate of fitness in accordance with the
provisions of Statutes.
G.P.F./C.P.F. Pension. Gratuity, etc. are admissible as per rules amended
from time to time. Employee will have to subscribe necessary fund towards
his G.P.F./C.P.F. Account as per University Rules.
Leave : Earned Leave, Half Pay Leave, Extra Ordinary Leave without Pay,
Study Leave, Casual Leave as per University Rules. However, it cannot be
claimed as a matter of right.
Traveling and Daily Allowance for University business and work outside the
Head-Quarter and Transfer T.A. in case of transfer in University interest are
admissible as per University Rules at the rates in force from lime to time.
T.A. on fresh appointment not admissible.
Other advances interest bearing/non interest bearing are available as per
SDAU Rules.
AGE OF RETIREMENT :
62 years.
Termination, dismissal from Service :
Discipline and appeal rules as well as conduct rules for employees have
been prescribed in this University. Codes of conducts for teachers are also
prescribed. The brief grounds for termination of service from this University
are as under:

In subordination or any breach of discipline
Physical or mental unfitness for discharge of duty.
Any act prejudicial to the University interest or its property.
Conviction in a Court of Law for offence involving moral turpitude.
Guilty of activity which is anti-secular and which lends to create
communal disharmony.

(E)

NOTICE :
(i) The furnishing of false information or suppression of any factual information
in the application would be a disqualification and candidate will not be
considered for employment under this University. Any such false information
comes to the notice at any time during the service of a person, his service
would be liable to be terminated.
(ii)

No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection


with the process of selection/test/interview/appointment Canvassing in any
form will be a disqualification.

(iii) The University shall reserve seats for various categories as per the
Government policy.
