I always try to call for Manjushri before I take a test or some academic activity since he is the bodhisatvaa of wisdom.

That's very important, some people miss the point and search realization outside them praying to the Buddhas as if they would come
down from the skies and give them freedom.

This mantra is to be prayed after understanding the heart sutra. If done in this manner this mantra would be able to cleanse one's
negative karmic debts.

It's easy: connect to buddhist network called sangha and get teachings how to pray mantra. After that you've a chance for download
blessings directly from e.c. Tara, Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara and many more ;-).

Once free, good hearts will weep for those left behind, and for them must be their first thoughts after attainment, not as an obligation but
as an overflow of joy and bliss.

I learnt this mantra from the guru as OM AH RA PA TSA NA DHI DHI DHI

Frozeal 4 years ago in reply to Basudarini

There is no a way how it "should" be pronounced. One gets a mantra from a proper teacher, and how you get it from them is how you
should recite them.

Basudarini 6 years ago

Buddha Manjushri's mantran should be pronounced: Om Ah Ra Ba zar Na Di......so this mantra song seems a little strange...however,as
long as we have faith and confidence then should be fine.....it is better get the mantra from your own Master( Guru).....I would suggest!!

novemberainy 4 years ago in reply to Clempath

@Clempath lol I do that too, and I listen to this whenever I can't concentrate studying (like right now) lol

Frozeal 4 years ago in reply to Clempath

That's not smart, that's holding a wrong view regarding the use of mantras, visualization etc. Why? Because first of all that's very selfish
and egocentric; second, you are externalizing Manjushri as if he really existed per se by his own side, according to Vajrayana that's
plainly wrong. You should call for Manjushri to clear your cognition obstacles so you could realize the truth of reality to help all sentient
beings, not for some test, it's better if you studied harder.

Yes, it should be done like that. My teacher said the sam :-)

Western concept of academics is wrong. It has very little to do with wisdom, tests are just memorization...

What a gentle, sweet, and uplifting chant! Thank you for uploading and have a wonderful day!

Frozeal 4 years ago in reply to karma dhyana

And your teacher told this to you, I think it's not a good idea to go publicly speaking about practices. I know this is not one of the most
"secret" things, but there is a reason why Vajrayana is also called "The path of the secret mantra"... because it's not public. :)

When my teacher taught me this mantra, he said that the last syllable, Dhi, should be repeated, like an echo, faster and faster, getting
quieter and quieter as one says it. Has anyone heard of this method of reciting Manjushri's mantra? Metta.

Manjunatha a encarnao de Deus "Shiva". Manju meio da neve e Natha significa senhor. Desde que vive Shiva em Kailasa (chamado
Himalaia agora), e ele o senhor daquele loka, ele chamado Manjunatha. "Manjunatha" um dos nomes mais comuns no estado de
Karnataka para os machos e" Manju " usada para o feminino. Isto principalmente devido "Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy",
localizada no"Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala".

Yes, this method rises the energies in the body to the brain and this is good for learning. My lama Ole Nydahl taught us this also. Best

Om Ah Ra Pa Tsa Na Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi DhiDhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi Dhi DDhi Dhi
Dhi Dhi Dhi DHi Dhi Dhi Dhi!

I use several ways to visualize and "channel" Bodhisattva Manjusri; while chanting Om Ah Ra Pa Tsa
Dhih. Another way is to use an image of Manjushri. Manju is frequently depicted with his right hand
holding a double edged flaming sword. His his left hand is holding a lotus flower, upon which rests
the Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Discerning Wisdom) Sutra. He is often shown riding a Shishi lion.
The lion symbolizes the various defilement's {Klesha, Bonno} that obscure our innate Bodhi or
Awakened Wisdom. Riding the Lion represents taming of the Kleshas. The sword cuts through
ignorance and yields the light of discernment. The Lotus and the Perfection of Discernment Book
represent Enlightened Wisdom emerging from darkness of confusion. Also, his countenance is
generally youthful, indicating the timeless and ageless nature of wisdom.
