4. Educational and other Qualifications :-
Essential
1. Master’s Degree or equivalent in relevant subject from recognized university with atleast 55%
marks (B+) or its equivalent grade and good academic records.
2. Working knowledge of Computer Operations
3. Working knowledge of English and Hindi
Desirable
1. M.Phil and / or Ph.D. in relevant subject
2. A Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Distance Education/ Education
3. Experience in writing of lessons and teaching materials, organizing Seminars, Workshops and in
service education.

5. NIOS reserves the right to fix criteria for calling the required number of candidates, as may be
necessary, for test / interview.

7. Candidates already working in Government service and fulfilling requirement of experience and
eligibility are required to submit application through proper channel in the prescribed format.
8. NIOS reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post mentioned above without assigning any
reason(s).

apply afresh.
10. Incomplete application and not on the prescribed proforma will be summarily rejected.
11. Application Form be submitted alongwith a Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred
only) for Unreserved category and Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for SC/ST and OBC
categories in favour of Secretary, National Institute of Open Schooling, Noida. However,
Physically Handicapped category with minimum of 40% of disability are exempted from payment.
The amount shall be accepted in the shape of Bank Draft only and once paid shall NOT be
refunded under any circumstances. On the back side of Demand Draft, the candidates are advised
to write their name, address and post applied for in capital letters.
12. Applications form can be obtained from NIOS website www.nios.ac.in giving complete details.
The form duly filled, signed, attached with demand draft and attested copies of certificates may be
sent with superscribing the post applied for on the envelop, to the Secretary, National Institute
of Open Schooling, A-24/25, Institutional Area, Sector-62, Noida – 201309, U.P. No
applications will be accepted through e-mail. The last date for receiving applications is
01.02.2010 (In case of candidates from North Eastern States/Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul
and Spiti Dists. of Himachal Pardesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep, the last date
for receipt of application will be 08.02.2010).
