Seismic Data

According to Peruvian standards for seismic design (Ref. [4]), the project site is characterized in the following
way:
Site parameter: Zone 1 corresponding to a zone factor of Z=0.15,
Type of soil profile S3 (conservative) on all sites corresponding to a soil amplification factor S of 1.4,
Facilities category of importance A: essential facilities corresponding to a U-factor of 1.5.
Seismic design base shear shall then be computed according the methodology proposed in Ref. [4] for
structural elements and non-structural elements (article 23 respectively).
The following maximum accelerations shall then be considered:
Equipments, tanks, piping : H = 0.29g.
According to Ref. [4], no vertical seism acceleration shall be considered for zone 1.
