This week we are learning:
Circle Time Review
We will review the Xmas vocab we learned
the previous week: Christmas tree, candy
cane, snowman, Santa Claus, Carol singers,
holly, Christmas presents, Angel, candle,
stocking, baubles.
We will review the key words practiced last
week in phonics. The four words are short
ap words consisting of cap, map, nap,
and tap. We will play games such as fly
swat and card jump to test how familiar the
words are.

Activity Time

Sentence structure:
"I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year".
"What would you like for Christmas? I would like a/an (object) for Christmas".
Activities:
We are going to do a Christmas booklet where the students will decorate, fill in words
and cut and staple the books together. We will also do a Christmas word search using
vocabulary words/
Songs:
We are mostly going to pay attention to Jingle Bells as we have been learning this.
Games:
This week is short, but we will play splat and flashcard draw to practice vocabulary
Crafts:

Review

In crafts we are going to make 3D Christmas trees. The students will decorate the tress, cut

them out and put them together. We will have a competition for the best decorated trees.
This week in phonics we will continue to work
with the new Oxford Phonics World 2 books. The
children will begin reviewing all words and
sounds learnt last week. This will include the 4
short ap words, as stated in circle time. We will
