9. Corroborating the content of the discipline with the expectations of the epistemic
community, professional associations and representative employers within the field of the
program
The contents are consistent with present curricula of prominent universities in social and economic
fields. In order to better adapt the program to the specific requirements of the labor market we
resorted to meetings with business professionals and analysts, graduated students implementing BI
applications, being familiar with problems concerning information modeling and customization of
standard BI solutions provided by major software vendors.
