Build UP Skills - BEET Project is finalizing the second quarter


of the implementation
During this period the project partners CeProSARD, ZBK CREATION, Faculty of
Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT), Integrated
Business Faculty (FBE), Adult Education Centre of the Republic of Macedonia,
and the project coordinator Economic Chamber of Macedonia implemented a
number of activities.

The year 2014 was full of new challenges, activities and projects for our
organization. We have started the implementation of a new project Build up Skills
Training and Qualification Schemes Macedonia, we received a three year mandate
to prepare the documents for project evaluation of the municipalities within the
project Municipal Services Improvement Project (MSIP) and we have successfully
completed the first cycle of training for energy auditors and awarded the first
certificates to the engineers who completed the training and passed the exam.

On 08.10.2014 the Steering Committee of the project was established and kickoff event was organized aimed to introduce the representatives of the
construction companies and the institutions to the EU initiative Build UP Skills
BEET. At the event presentation on the planned activities and documents as well
as of the process for recognition of previous learning and skills for the workers in
the area of energy efficiency was held.
During the past period the partners also worked on preparation of the Study for
introduction of voluntary training schemes of skills and qualifications as well as on
the preparation of the Methodology on the process for recognition of previous
learning.
By the end of the year the project website www.beet.mk will be made operational
for publication of all relevant data related to the implementation of the project.

In line with our vision and mission we were dedicated on the promotion of
renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental protection practices. In
addition, we have prepared various strategic and documents related to
environmental protection for the public and private sector. As a regular practice
within the organization, the CeProSARDs team has attended various trainings,
conferences and other events in order to continuously upgrade and improve their
knowledge.
Also, the members of our organization have obtained energy auditors licenses
issued by the Energy Agency of the Republic of Macedonia.
In the following year, CeProSARD will continue to work in line with its vision, aiming
to promote sustainable development with particular attention to environmental
protection, use of renewable energies, energy efficiency as well as protection of the
cultural heritage. As a result CeProSARD will contribute in creation of better
environment for the future generations.

Improved operation through implementation of measures for


energy efficient construction and utilisation of renewable
sources of the production and administrative facilities for
company for production of metal/steel constructions
The experts team of CeProSARD in the period September-November 2014
prepared a detailed project that will assist the company Goldiren from Skopje in
decreasing the overall operational costs related to the utilization of energy.
For that purpose assessment on the energy performance of the facilities that are
in final phase of construction was performed; measures for energy savings were
identified and recommendations were made for improvements of the energy
efficiency of the buildings envelope, HVAC systems, lightning system, as well as
for systems for utilization of renewable energies.

Activities in the Environmental Protection Department


Within the environmental protection department, the organization has
implemented many activities, among which the following can be
emphasized: the preparation of applications for obtaining Landfill Operator
Permit and Permit for collection and transport of urban and other nonhazardous waste for a Landfill Operating Company.
For the project: Tackling the Broadband Gap in SEE Rural Areas through
PPP model, within the Feasibility study for establishment of broadband in
municipality of Makedonska Kamenica, environmental assessment of such
activities was implemented by the team.
In addition, applications for obtaining integrated environmental permits and
environmental protection elaborates were prepared for the business
sector.

Project Alternative Sources of Energy through Transfer


of Knowledge in the Municipality of Gazi Baba
he planned cycle of workshops within the project Alternative Sources of
Energy through Transfer of Knowledge was finished with the organization
of the last workshop aimed at the pupils from the primary school in the
Municipality of Gazi Baba.
Measures for improvement of energy efficiency and the possibilities for
usage of renewable energies were the main topics covered on the
workshops. CeProSARD and the Department for Local Economic
Development of the Municipality of Gazi Baba were responsible for
organization and implementation of the workshops.
The following target groups were present on the workshops: farmers,
citizens, directors of the primary schools and kindergartens, members of
the Municipality Council, the municipal employees and the pupils from the
primary schools in the Municipality.
The workshops were also attended by representatives of the business
sector, as well as representatives of the Energy Agency of the Republic of
Macedonia.

In 2014 year, CeProSARD, by invitation of the Swedish International


Center for Local Democracy (ICLD), took part in the International Training
Programme (ITP) Local Democracy and Social Sustainability with a
Gender Perspective 2014-2015 that was held in Sweden. Liljana
Buchkovska our coordinator for gender equality, presented our project
proposal on the following topic: Enhancement of the position of women as
a partner in local development.
Liljana Buchkovska also had presentations on the following topics:
Challenges of the Local Self Government of Republic of Macedonia;
Management System in CeProSARD; Women Participation in Politics in
Republic of Macedonia and Ethnic Minorities in Republic of Macedonia.
The presentations were held at University Gotland Visby, Gothenburg
and Stockholm.
The training programme was attended by 23 participants from several
countries: Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and
Macedonia.
Within the programme, training was held in Tuzla, Bosnia and
Hercegovina, in October, 2014. Also trainings will be organized in some of
the other participating countries in 2015.
