RAK Ceramics is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of high quality ceramic and porcelain tiles,
sanitaryware and fireclay kitchen sinks. The company can be considered unique in its ability to create excellent
quality products to the very latest fashion designs using the most advanced technical processes available
worldwide.
The main headquarters and manufacturing plant for RAK Ceramics is situated in Ras-Al-Khaimah in the
Arab Emirates. Established in 1991, the company has grown at an astonishing rate, now occupying an everexpanding site in excess of 2 million m2 and producing 3.5 million pieces of sanitaryware per annum.
RAK Ceramics exports to over 150 countries worldwide and has other manufacturing plants in China,
Bangladesh, India and Sudan to satisfy the demands of these local markets, with global production of tiles over
360,000 m2 per day.
The company operates an accredited quality management system that serves as a framework for managing its
operations, including continuous compliance, for its manufacturing and products, with ISO9001:2000.
RAK Ceramics UK Head Office is based in Petersfield, Hampshire. Along with our own warehousing at this
location, we also have distributors strategically located nationwide to provide an efficient service for all
your requirements. With our dedicated Area Sales Managers and Internal Sales Team, RAK Ceramics
UK is proficient in handling orders for residential use through to large commercial applications. For more

Guarantees
Our guarantees are offered on all products that have been used in the manner for which they were intended,
and do not apply to any products that have been misused or abused in any way. Products must be installed and
cared for in line with our fixing instructions and local water bylaws. Our guarantee does not cover general wear
and tear.
In the unlikely event that the product fails due to a manufacturing fault, within the guarantee period, RAK
Ceramics in its sole discretion may offer to replace the goods (subject to availability), supply a replacement
part (or nearest equivalent) or refund the purchase price within a reasonable time. The claim will be limited to
the value of the supplied materials accepted by RAK Ceramics as defective. Under no circumstances will RAK
Ceramics be liable for loss of profit or any other consequential damages, or for labour costs to remove and
reinstall the item. Liability is limited to individual products and does not cover consequential loss or damage on
installation. All guarantees apply from the date of purchase.
1. All vitreous china sanitaryware products are guaranteed for 25 years
2. Our acrylic baths are guaranteed for 25 years.
3. Our fireclay and ceramic Sinks are guaranteed for 10 years.
4. Porcelain tiles are guaranteed for 10 years and ceramic tiles for 5 years.
5. WC cistern internals: 5 year replacement product only
6. Toilet seats: 2 year replacement product only
7. Kludi/RAK mixers and taps are guaranteed for 5 years
8. Kludi/RAK accessories are guaranteed for 12 months
9. All parts installed for commercial use: 1 year replacement product only

Quality standard BS EN ISO 9001
RAK Ceramics has been assessed by Bureau Veritas Certification UK and has been granted approval under the
terms of the scheme for Supplier Quality Management system to ISO 9001:2000. The approval relates to design,
development, production and supply of vitreous china sanitary ware. Quality standards also relate to: ceramics
and porcelain floor and wall tiles, porcelain slabs and vitreous china and fireclay sanitary ware including acrylic
baths, and urea toilet seats and covers.
Testing
Our rigorous processes and efficient operation, along with the size of our manufacturing, enables us to deliver
consistency of quality and value for our sanitary ware. Rigorous WRAS standards and WC water testing before
dispatch are just two of our minimum performance standards. All mirrors are IP44 rated.

Information
During installation
Do not allow any tile adhesive or excess grout to
dry on the surface of the tile. Unwanted adhesive
or excess grout should be cleaned a few minutes
after application or before the material becomes
dry. Cleaning should be performed according
to tile adhesive or grout manufacturers
method and instruction. For protection against
construction dirt, scratches and accidental
damage, the tiles already laid or fixed on the
floors must be covered for the duration of the
construction.
For regular cleaning and maintenance

Wipe off dust from the tile surface on a regular
basis. Dilute 1 part normal commercial ceramic
tile cleaner/degreasing agent to 10 parts water.
Apply and wipe over the surface with a cotton
cloth, sponge or mop. Rinsing is not necessary.

For cleaning with a floor washing machine

Wipe off dust from the tile surface. Dilute 1
part normal commercial ceramic tile cleaner/
degreasing agent to 5 parts water or use straight
from the bottle. Undiluted commercial CLOROX
bleaching solution may be used. Apply and wipe
over the surface with a cotton cloth, sponge or
mop. For floors, allow the cleaned area to dry
before allowing pedestrian access.

For removal of stubborn marks or stains

Wipe off dust from the tile surface. Depending
on the type of stains, dilute 1 part of specialised
cleaning agent such as FILA DETERDEK or
FILA PS/87 or FILA PH ZERO to 3 parts water. If
necessary, use straight from the bottle. Spread
the solution over the affected area and leave
for approximately 5-10 minutes to allow the
chemical reaction. Rub the solution over the
affected surface with the use of a scouring pad.
Rinse with water and wipe dry with a cotton cloth
or mop. Repeat if necessary. For floors, allow the
cleaned area to dry before allowing pedestrian
access.
Important
Cleaning and maintenance depends on the
density of traffic, the condition of the surrounding
area where the tiles are installed, and the nature
of dirt to which the floors or walls are exposed.
Routine cleaning and maintenance must be
undertaken according to specific requirements.
Any spillage of tea, coffee, paint, permanent
marker, hair dye, nail polish and the like on tiles
must be immediately cleaned to prevent severe
staining. It is possible that these substances may
leave light marks or slight discolouration on the
tiles if left untreated for any period of time. It is
not advisable to use hydrofluoric acid solution or
its compound for cleaning.
Do not use metal tools too scrape the dirt from
the surface of the tiles.
