Guidelines and Format of Project Report
(Internship-I and Internship-II)
A. Guidelines for Preparation of the Project Report
Project Report forms an important component of evaluation so, every should be made write a good
report.
The dissertation should be divided into a series of numbered chapters and sections, each with titles
and sub-titles. It consists of preface, main chapters and appendices. A possible layout be as follows:

The student will be asked questions based on the presentation as well as the report. He /
she should provide with confidence sufficiently detailed logical responses to question.

General Instructions:
1. Spell and grammar check by computer.
2. Figures, diagrams, flow charts, photographs etc. should be properly numbered and also must be
captioned.
3. Tow/ three copies of the project prepared with Hard Bound cover, are to be submitted to the
department for institutional / industrial project respectively. One copy will be retained for library
of the university, second one will be given to internal supervisors and in case of industrial project
the third one will be passed on to supervisor from industry. Each student must make a copy for
his own and get it duty signed by supervisors.
Total No. of Copies for one batch={(x+2), where x=No. of students in a group of U.G. students}
4. The outer Hard Bound cover should be black in color.
5. Following guidelines are recommended for preparation of manuscript.

General
1. *Line Spacing 1.5 (1 Line)
*Font Size: 12 Pt.
*Typing Back to Back / on both sides of paper.
2. Report should be prepared with a hard-bound outer cover. No spiral cover shall be permittd.

Format for the Project Report


Report should have the following, format (formats for each sections are enclosed).
1. (a). Inner Cover page (One);
(b). Inner Cover page (Two);
2. Certificate signed by the Supervisor(s); being numbering with this page as number 1.
3. Acknowledgment(s);
4. Abstract (Preferably less than on page 150-200 words) (1 line spacing)
5. Table of Contents (Include above items, Title of chapters, reference, appendices, Program
listing, and Floppies/CD s.)
6. List of Figures Table etc. (with number &Title)
7. Body of the report. The body should contain:

Chapter 1. Introductions including statement of the problem and Literacy survey.


Chapter 2. Nomenclature of the Chapters is to be decided approperately.
Last Chapter. Conclusion and future scope.
8. Appendices
9. References
In the text, the references should be given as follows.
Authors last name (if only one author), or first authors last name (if only two authors), or first
authors last name followed by et al. (if more than two authors). The name (s) should be followed by the
year of publication, which should be given in bracket if the references are to given alphabetically, or by the
reference number in square bracket, if the references are to be given in order of their appearance in the
text.
In the list of the Reference, the references should be listed in any one of the following formats;
alphabetical order of the authors name, or in chronological order or alphabetical order for each year or as
they appear sequentially in order in the text.
