Instructions :
Students registered for both MTE-4 & MTE-5 courses should
1.
answer both the question papers in two separate answer
books entering their enrolment no. course code and course
title clearly on both the answer books.
2.

Students who have registered for MTE-4 or MTE-5 should

answer the relevant question paper after entering their
enrolment number, course code and course title on the answer
book.

Note : Question No. 1 is Compulsory. Attempt three more

questions from questions No. 2 to 5. Calculators are not

(b)

An X-ray unit of a hospital has two

machines M I and M2 for developing X-ray

films. Machine MI uses 2 units of power

and M2 uses 1.5 units of power per film
developed. The total units of power
supplied to these two machines is 300 units
per day. The hospital plans for developing
180 films each day. Translate the situation
into a system of two linear equations.
