Writing clearly in English

To write well in English, you need to write clearly. To do this, you need to do the following:
1 Use CAPITAL letters. You should always use a capital for
the first letter of the first word in a sentence (His family was big. ).
the pronoun, I (Mary and I went to the store. ).
the first letter in the names of people (Bob Smith
mith ) and places (Sydney, Australia
ustralia ).
the first letter in the names of languages and nationalities (Chinese
hinese ).
the first letter in the first, last and all important words in the titles of movies (The Lion,
the Witch and the Wardrobe
ardrobe ) and books (Forever in Blue
lue ).
2 Use punctuation. You should use
a period (.) to show where a sentence finishes (The cat was big. ).
a question mark (?) at the end of a question (Was your lunch good? ).
an exclamation mark (!) to add emphasis to a sentence (The movie was so scary! ).
3 Use spaces. You should
leave one space between each word (He is good. not Heisgood. ).
leave one space after a punctuation mark (He is smart, isnt he? not He is smart,isnt he? ).
not leave a space between a word and a punctuation mark (He is nice. not He is nice . ).
