Introduction and background

The term Estimation means that to find out the quantity of material in any field of
construction, and any type construction either that is Bridge, Dams, Reservivoer,
or Residential Building. Estimates is very important in such type of Field and the
person who work on Estimation is called Estimator. There are two types of
Estimation
1. Rough Cost Estimate
2. Detailed Cost Estimate

Problem Statement:
The problem statement is that in our country Pakistan. Here we doesn't prefer the
estimator. The role of Estimator is very important in our Civil Engineering field. If
we constructing a building and we doesn't estimate that how much the material
use in the building, so this is an un economical building, and a lot of material and
resourses we can loss.

Objectives:
The following objective of our project is given bellow
Material use according to Specification.
To find accurate figure of Quantity of material to be used and to save the
owner of building from the loss of Raw material.
In mega project to know that the owner provide how much Resources,
Either it is human,Machinary, or Money.
To know the Total cost of the project.

Scope of the project:

Modren Building consist of Complex engineering system such as architectural,
structural,mechanical ,plumbing, and Electrical System.
The main scope of our project is that we find the total quantity and cost of
the material.
The project scope is that we know that how much material we need for our
Project , and we also find the cost and quantity of Electricity, sainatry, etc
We also Describe the scope of our project like this, That if the material is far from
the project site so we bring the material in less Quantity.
Literature Review:
Introduction:
The first step of any project is to get an understanding of what the client wants and
is expecting.Measurementsneed to be taken to get a better understanding how
much material would be needed.
Literature Review
1. Design
2. Estimating
3. Construction
..

1.Design:
First of all select the drawing and then design it.In the design we find out what
kind of foundation, structure, etc we design for the building.
2.Estimating:
After design we find out the estimate of the building Either it (Earth work,Substructure,Superstructure,And Finishing).
3.Construction:
After the estimation we start the construction works.

Methodology:
1.Detailed Drawing preparation
2.Getting diamension from drawing
3.Study specification both general and detailed
4.Selection of rates schedule (CSR Market rates )
5. Preparing BOQ from rates (CSR or Market rates)
