GTECH S.P.A. SUBSIDIARIES SIGN SIX-YEAR DRAWBASED/INSTANT-TICKET SYSTEM CONTRACT WITH MEXICOS

Company expects to receive more than $130 million in revenues
over six-year term of full-service contract
ROME, ITALY and PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (U.S.), December 29, 2014 GTECH
S.p.A. announced that its subsidiaries GTECH Corporation and GTECH Servicios de Mxico, S.
de R.L. de C.V. (GTECH) have signed a six-year full-service contract to provide an integrated
draw-based/instant-ticket system, a minimum of 11,000 draw-based lottery terminals, a
communications network, as well as additional lottery products and ongoing services to
Pronsticos para la Asistencia Pblica (Pronsticos), the online lottery operator in Mxico. The
contract signing follows an international competitive procurement and is expected to commence
in September 2015. GTECH expects to receive more than $130 million in revenues over the sixyear period. Pronsticos, which has been a valued GTECH customer since 1987, could receive
total sales of more than $4 billion over the six-year period.
GTECH is fully prepared to support Pronsticos growth strategy with a set of innovative
solutions that offer the flexibility to adapt to changes in the industry and the demands of the
Mexican marketplace, now and in the future, said GTECH Americas President and CEO
Jaymin B. Patel. This agreement represents the continuation of our almost three-decades-long
commitment to increasing Pronsticos returns, which support social programs in Mxico.
For the past 27 years, GTECH has supported Pronsticos in generating a sustainable and
robust source of funding for social programs in Mxico, said Pronsticos Director General
Mara Esther de Jess Scherman Leao. The continuation of this long-term partnership will
help to modernize Pronsticos lottery program and launch the next phase of our growth for the
benefit of the communities it serves.

Under the terms of the full-service contract, GTECH will provide Pronsticos with an integrated
draw-based/instant-ticket system based on GTECHs Enterprise Series platform, offering open
standards, flexible architecture, and fast and secure transaction processing. GTECH will also
replace the draw-based terminals with Altura GT1200 and Altura GT1100 terminals, designed
to quickly and efficiently meet lotteries evolving needs. In addition, it will upgrade Pronsticos
communications network to 3G, 4G and LTE cellular technology, and provide additional lottery
products and ongoing services.
