INTRODUCTION

Acoustics India offers wide range of Acoustic Doors to the Acoustic Rating required as per the Customer's specification &
requirement. Acoustic Doors are available either in Metallic or Wooden construction as well as with the option of having Fire Rating
Certification as per BS476 Part 20 & 22.

SINGLE / DOUBLE LEAF METALLIC ACOUSTIC DOORS

Single / Double Leaf Acoustic Doors are made of multi-layer construction with external
Cold Rolled Steel of thickness ranging from 1mm to 2.5mm for the inner & external skin
with Internal Steel Reinforcement Structure packed with Sound Absorptive Material
between the outer and inner skin. For higher STC Values, we use multi layer dampening
material of varying thickness & density. The Door Frames are made with Heavy Gauge
Steel in multi folding profile to ensure noise sealing with Sealing Gaskets between the
Door Frame and Door Leaf.

Single / Double Leaf Wooden Sound Retardant Doors having multi-layers of timber
arrangement to enhance the best Sound Transmission Loss. The Wooden Doors and
Frames are constructed with High Quality Teak Wood with multiple layers of Sound
Dampening Material, Water & Fire Proof Plywood, Veneer Finish and Automatic Down
Bottom Seal. Wooden Doors are unusually constructed with Sealing Gasket to ensure the
Noise Sealing between Door Frame & Door Leaf.

SINGLE/DOUBLE LEAF FIRE RATED ACOUSTIC DOOR

Single / Double Leaf Fire Rated Doors comprises of both Timber & Metallic Acoustic Doors.
Timber Doors can have option of Veneer Finish & Metallic Door can have a option of Powder
Coated finish as per the customer s requirement. All types of Fire Rated Doors are supplied
with Fire Rated Hardwares such as Hinges, Door Lock, Door Closer, Bottom Seal & Gaskets
as per any Specification required. The doors can be supplied with Fire Rating Certificates as
per International Codes / Standards.

DROP DOWN SEALS

BRUSH SEAL FOR SLIDING DOORS

There are two common Door

Bottom Seals which are equipped
with Wooden Acoustic Doors such
as Automatic Drop Down Seal &
Sweep Seal. Depending upon the
application & requirement, either
one will be used in the Acoustic
Doors. Those seals are made up
with Flexible PVC with Aluminium
Profile to enhance the additional
Acoustic Performance of the Doors.

Brush seal is made of Nylon Brush Strip

with an Aluminium Extruded profile
that mounts to the inner & outer side of
the Sliding Doors to avoid the entering
of foreign material & retention of Air
Conditioning. This shall be used mainly
for clean environments such as
Hospitals, Laboratories etc.

horizontal & vertical locking in two
main types such as one Point and
two Point Hardwares depending
upon the application &

of Vision Glass Panels along with
Acoustic Doors on request. The glass
panels shall be supplied with Acoustic
& Fire Rating property depending upon

SLIDING DOORS
Acoustics India offers a wide variety of custom made single / double leaf industrial sliding
doors which opens horizontally either by sliding or suspended from a track at the top. The
doors can be either a manual or a motorized arrangement and can be provided based on
Customer s requirement. These doors are of multi layer construction having sandwiched
sound absorbing material between steel sheets.

MOVABLE WALL
Acoustics India has supplied a movable wall for Compressor Test Bed for Siemens. The
size of the Acoustic Movable wall supplied is of 22m long x 10 m height weighing 40T
moves to and fro for a span of 35 m to allow access for the cranes for handling of
compressors, motor etc inside the Test Bed. The noise criterion of the test facility was
satisfactorily achieved.
