Description
What is the best method of replacing a Brocade Switch?
Zoning is implemented within the fabric and we need to perform a Brocade
Switch replacement and need to know how we can save his zoning information.
How do I save the running conguration of FabricOS on a Brocade Switch?

Procedure
There are two scenarios noted below. If you have zoning, you will need to save
your conguration to an FTP server. If zoning has not been implemented, then
only ipAddrShow will need to be recorded.
Note:
Before making changes, make sure that you have:
The right licenses, or renewed licenses.
The same versions of FOS on the broken and new switch.
Not connected the replacement switch to the fabric before making sure all
is ok.
Ignoring the above will most likely result in an outage.
Obtain the license code from NetApp support by oering s/n of both new
switch and defect one.
Obtain the conguration on the switch and save it to the your FTP server.
1. Verify that there is connectivity to the switch and FTP service is running
on a Windows or UNIX workstation.
